What is was laughing at is that, being reactionary isnt a strategy. Having a goal that you strive for and go all out to see to fruition is a strategy.
for instance, a strategy based on what someone else does isnt much of a strategy. Claiming that somone MUST capture Novosbrisk (I’m not saying this is an actual stategy, just giving an example) is a strategy.

i’ve never had this happen. but I would build infantry en masse. there is NO way the russia can match germany infantry for infantry
definitly NOT a fan. always on germany’s eastern front as far east as you can go I say.

What Germany does is really very dependent on what Russia did on its turn.
If Russia moved units towards India, and moved everything else east, the Allies are probably going to be going after Japan first. (Not certainly, but maybe).
If Russia built naval units in the Mediterranean, Germany might be well advised to sink that fleet before it got any stronger – or conversely, to ignore it and build lots of tanks to put pressure on Moscow quickly.
And so forth.
Usually, Germany and Japan should both focus on Moscow, while attempting to prevent the Allies from taking complete control of the Atlantic or Pacific. In some cases, though, attacking the United Kingdom or the United States is better.

I always just aim to maintain witht he german navy. simply rebuilding what is lost. Until Russia is under control I think navy is a waste of money.

To be honest, forget India as a place for one, Sinkiang too.
If you want to get forces to South Asia, then have UK build up a tranny fleet and start shuttling troops to northern Europe. If done well, this will allow Russia to bleed off forces via their Caucuses factory since UK will be pressuring Germany AND helping to defend Russia.
If I am playing the allies, with restricted russia, I always move ONE fighter to india and I ALWAYS build an industrial complex there. This relieves pressure from japan in the east of russia and also gives the british 9 IPCs to earn from Japan. Plus, its not to far for british units to get online against germany from there as well.

i agree with jennifer. I never really grab brazil until i have africa under control. and at that point I use it as a place for bombers to destroy the american fleet or at least harass.
honestly, when I play as the allies, or when Im on a team with someone else. I jsut go for an all out attack on germany with everything I got and jsut keep them pinned so they CANT attack russia or Karelia (or caucusus in the nes version. If oyu keep them back on their heels they have no hope.

my Cousin and I are better then average at the game and we played two guy from my college that ALSO were better then average and our game went 37 rounds when the Axis finally won. we played the whole game over the course of Fall break and it spanned 4 days (we werent playing the whole time obviously) but total game time was easily 15+ hours.
is the original poster suggesting that Russia was building a navy? Cause thats ust dumber then rcoks. In my experience, russia should NEVER build a navy unless it has some crazy sneaky way to easily invade western europe or southern europe (new edition)…
But if Russia IS trying to build a naval presence…germany should just give up on naval units for the msot part and jsut make russia pay for every having build any ships at all…
completely agree. THough I generally wait to buy ARM. I usually buy infantry and load up my front line until there is jsut nothing Germany can do , then buy tanks, and just roll over Europe.
