Actually now that I think about it, guest posting should be banned. Lately there have been alot of flame/spam posts by guests, and i’m sure everyone is sick of it.

What Chindit wrote about German technology if there was no war with Russia is a good point.(I would quote him but I dont know how). Tiger Tanks, Panthers, and anyother armoured monstrasity they made after 1942 was to counter the powerful russian tanks. Although his point about the AK47 is wrong. The AK47 was derived from the SKS, not the MP44.

The germans had a poor wartime economy until 1943, mostly because they had over 300 types of tanks, over 150 types of aircraft, and even 50 types of lorries. This made mass producing very hard because with so many different types of tanks and aircraft, each piece had to be different. There was a joke among German generals that they would order a tiger one day, then a couple of panthers another day, and maybe a mortar here and there. :P

uuhhh dezrtfish, germany invading poland is what started the war. any ways back to the topic. You have to look at the industrial side too. Germany needed russias wheat, steal, oil and whatever crap is in there. If germany didnt invade russia they would have died out alot sooner from the hands of the us and uk. I know germany didnt beat russia but they got far enough to secure vital steel and wheat and some oil. Germany would not make it againts the US and Uk in full war time production. Germany barely had a war time production until 1943.

And for tanks like the tiger 1 and 2 forget about them. the germans only made these to counter russian tanks so its safe to say if they didnt fight russia the tigers would be a thought if some dudes head.

lets say germany takes africa and britan, germany is sitting very pretty right now because the US,even with their A-Bomb, did not have a stating post for invasions and no american plane could fly with an atomic bomb all the way to berlin, its impossible!

somewhat difficult to explain, but here goes, in victoryin the pacific there are no ‘‘generic’’ ships or armys, it starts off at pearl harbour,

japan, britan, and the US start with the actually ships they had back then (each one has a different speed, strength, and armor), there is a counter for every ship japan, britan, or US had back then, so it would be very difficult and expensive to use plastic pieces, you do not buy ships or units in this game but recieve them when the were built

japan starts with ALOT of ships but the allies have close to nothing, but as the turns go buy japan starts to get less and less while the USgets more and more. Very fun game but kinda hard to use all those cardboard counters

Operation Flashpoint

Victory in the Pacific is a really good game. Complex but still very fun.
Its like AAP but with counters. I can post more info if wanted.

I tired out GG rule but with colonies only. it really helps defending india, south africa, Midway, etc

I think taking out UK’s med. fleet is a good idea. taking the oil countries is very useful.

I like that idea, wardog, about fooling the brits into buying infantry, gotta try that some time. I always but a trans. and art but i never know where to put the art.

The panzer IV or V would be much better than the panther i think, the panther and tiger tanks were built for the defense of germany not for the offense like the panzer series.
