Could be why Barack-O is really pouring it on here in PA Switch. Actually both The Barracks and Cellery were here recently. But I’ve heard quite a few Barack-O spots on the local radio. And just today I was on our local papers website and The Barracks banner ads filled the page. Other than the appearance in Harrisburg haven’t heard diddley squat out of the Cellery camp.

Maybe she too thinks they have PA wrapped up and is putting resources into other places. And maybe she’s wrong about that. You know how it goes… out of sight out of mind. She’s about due for another teary media “outpouring” too. Although I’m sure neither will pony up for the local tv spots until a week or so before (since we all know tv caters to the attention span of a gnat.) ~ZP

Actually Pervavita… once you “optimize” the Japanese with the India Crush strat it becomes exactly the opposite situation. I won’t give spoilers for those who are still trying out many different things, but there has been much written on the India Crush at the Days of Infamy (A&A Pacific) site. ~ZP

That’s exactly what my regular FTF opponent does. Facing 12+ converted spitfires makes a big difference and the “superior” German tank dash is only successful about half the time. ~ZP

If I buy Russian fighters at all I’ll try to spread the purchase out over a turn or two (read that: save ipcs). Otherwise I always run into the “not enough boots on the ground” syndrome. In theory I’ve tried to justify their outright purchase before by telling myself “yah, but this will ‘pay for itself’ with an extra attack hit here and there and/or allow something last another roll.” But in practice it always seems to come down to the same thing: if I’m not placing at least 7 Russian units a turn I’m seriously short on boots somewhere sooner or later. It’s almost always a shortage in Asia too since Germany is the closer front. If I don’t have the boots to spare to send east they just don’t get sent. So Japan usually likes Russian fighter purchases, Germany not so much. ~ZP

The latest Triplea stable release is currently being worked on.

Unfortunately the AI is presently at a standstill. Developing an AI approaching that of a human player is an extremely tall order. Java coders with the time and skill to accomplish the task who are willing to do it for free to support an open source project seem invisibly rare.

I’m not sure exactly how complete LHTR is.

Tekkyy I’ve seen you ask this same thing at least 4-5 times now. I’m a graphic designer and appreciate how difficult it is to keep multiple file versions straight without concise labeling. Labeling files final print final copy copy copy is just begging to have changes get dropped. Guess how I know this?

Unfortunately I think that’s likely true. Obama speaks very sincerely of withdrawal but if a wishy-washy congress doesn’t also follow through it’s all for naught. McCain backed down off on his “100 years” prediction last week but it was only to smooth over public opinion. Nothing has changed in his stance. He knows very well he has to “tow the party line” to garner his party’s support. And the party line is that there is no intention of withdrawal from Iraq, ever.
