Well, when on J1 the Japan BB is killed by the US DD, I think that helps a lot a KJF strategy ;)

Sounds good to me :)
Any preference for a side ? I do not really care for a first game.

Now that I know how Abbatlemap works using wine, I am able to play here.
I am searching a 1v1 game, AA50-41 with NO, Tech or not as my opponent will like.
I can too use tripleA by PBEM, but then I believe that it would be better to play without tech, since there are still some bugs with the paratroopers.

Rule questionposted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
I have a question with trannies (which can too be applied to subs).
Assuming there is an allied tranny in sz 14. Can Italy attack this tranny (making the sea zone hostile), and in the same time load troups from Italy to attack another territory with ?
If you do not attack the tranny, you can ignore it, so no problem. But if you declare the sea zone as hostile…

The choice of the bombardment must be done in the combat movement phase. Thus, you have to choose before.

RE: How to take Karelia and keep itposted in 1941 Scenario
and why uk would not take it back ?
The simplest way to block UK is to use the Sub fleet to kill the Destroyer so that the Cruiser can move to block a British invasion. This will mean that Britain is limited to strafing Karelia, which can be reinforced next turn anyway by units from Norway, Baltic States, those produced by Karelia, and the transport if its still alive.
but you have already use your cruiser for the attack in karelia. if you do not use that, you decrease your chance to take karelia (about 70% instead of 80%)

and why uk would not take it back ?
I mean : germany sacrifice most of its planes to keep karelia, and you can take it back quite easily. This done, you reduce the advantage of keeping karelia for germany, and now you do not have to consider the luftwaffe !

RE: How to take Karelia and keep itposted in 1941 Scenario
sorry, I did not read well.
So this may work, but should cost most of the german planes. And moreover, the english navy will be bigger, and you just avoid russia to take it back, since you cannot kill the uk battleship with only two subs. Thus, UK can counter karelia, and with a russian build as 6 armors, they can take back karelia on turn 2 quite easily I think…

RE: How to take Karelia and keep itposted in 1941 Scenario
russia has four infantry (2 from belorussia and 2 from archangelsk) and one armor to counter attack. In most case, you have one artillery and 2 armors to defense, which is a 75% counterattack for russia.
But if germany has one more infantry in karelia (which means you are lucky), then odds are for germany, and they should keep the territory.

RE: Axis and Allies Enhanced: Anniversary Editionposted in House Rules
just one remark:
point 5 (D Day) : in the point 5.a, you say that units could come from northwest europe (to go in france) or from france (to go in northwest europe). But in 5.e, you say that if any of these two countries are owned by the allies before the D-Day, the D-Day is lost. So how could allies units come from these territories if allies did not own them ?

RE: Russia Attacks Manchuriaposted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
one more question about mandchuria :
if an allied nation capture it, it comes to china.
But if Italia or Germany takes it back, do they liberate it for Japan do they capture it ?
(not a realistic scenario, but it is just to know : are they two owners of this territory or not)

@The:
Hah! Sweet, I didn’t know I could do all that, of adding men and changing income. Sweet dealio! By the way, where can I find the right board set up, if, as Jen is saying, the Triple A map is flawed?
you have more information of what you can do in the developer_documentation.html file, in the folder doc of the triplea folder (all information about how to change the .xml file is in the section 5.3). This file is not complete, but there is a lot of things in.

@Cmdr:
And I see the edit function, so at least the units can start in the correct spots and the cash can start correct!
if you do not want to change this at the beginning of each of your games, you can change it in the .xml file. This file includes all initial unit places, territory values and if I remember well, the initial cash.
I do not remember precisely which line to change, but the file is quite easily understable
