The BB for Battleship is the United States Navy Acronym. Same with the CA, CV, DD, SS, AP all used by The Navy. this isn’t meant for anything more than a reference guild for noobs or someone reading something else and goes “wtf is that suppose to mean” So they can decode what people are saying. Not an attempt to set a standard language of the game.

RE: HOW TO PLAY AS THE ALLIES PROPERLYposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
So and it works everytime. Here I’ll give a more detailed version of the Basics, Keep Russia alive at all cost if this mine moving in an Strong American of ground troops than so be it. Remember 2 inf. a turn from America is worth almost as much as the Lead-Lease NO. And it’s not hard to make 2 a turn into 4 a turn. Axis can not win without taking out Russia it was true in Classic and it’s been turn ever since.

Shortest Game Allied winposted in Axis & Allies Classic
I’ve won on the 3rd turn of the game. It was a 3 player game. I was Russia, My friend (mark) was UK and USA, and his friend (John) was Germany and Japan. The list of mistakes made on the Axis part would fill a book if the game lasted longer. But after zero combat on G1 and J1, Tank spamming with Germany, Stacking Eastern Europe with every Inf. that could get there and Ukraine with every Tank that could get there as G1 non-combat moves. The game was a gift. At the end of A3 Japan had no fleet exept 2 transports parked off midway. Germany had no airforce. UK and USA D-day forces were starting to form up. Not one UK ship was sunk. R2 was a staffing run on the stack of tanks. Leaving one to hold the territory. G2 he added all german fighters and bombers and moved his g1 tank spam to ukraine. R3 I took Ukraine instead of straffing. his G2 build was all inf. so i had no worry of counter attack. A3 saw the sinking of the Japanese Navy. And the Axis called it quits.
It was very nice to crush him that fast after John spent an hour telling me and mark how he’s an expert at A&A and was going to crush us. He even went as far as telling me Russia could double there tank AND fighter set up and he would still win. We didn’t but that was the level of confidience he had. We play super cautious for the first two turns waiting to see this grand plan on T3 the Allies saw the iron was hot and struck. We even used the opinional rule of No R1 combat. Honestly it helped more than it hurt.

RE: Quick Questionposted in Global War
He saw the planes. He knew the risk. It’s not like you were hiding anything or doing anything sneaky. If he was 100% sure what the pieces were he should have doubled checked before calling done to his turn. No do overs. I normally don’t allow do overs on phases of a turn let alone whole turn. Once you say That’s all the combat moves no going back during Non-com and finding a combat you missed.

RE: HOW TO PLAY AS THE ALLIES PROPERLYposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Check Italy, give Japan *#^^, Kill Germany. Keep Russia alive at all cost. As long as Russia lives the Axis can’t win. (figuratively speaking)

RE: Fav country in g40 now that its outposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
I voted Russia because in every game of A&A the game is won and lost on the frozen steppe. and I love the challege of fighting the up hill battle.

RE: Next Nation to sculpt at HBGposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I voted UK and I think that it should also be done in ANZAC OOB colors. One set two nations. maybe even in OOB france color too. and fourth color for Canada.

RE: HBG Japan Supplement Setposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I’ve been using paratroopers since Classic with the same piece the basic infantry with a control marker under it. Air Transports were the same with Bombers After Axis Minors, FMG’s Italy and the US set I have real pieces for Germany Italy and the US it hasn’t stopped me from using the old system for the other countries. Trucks were harder I had to wait till BotB just for a piece to use.
-
RE: Is the Italian NO stopped by transports in the med?posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
transports do not count as warships
-
RE: HBG Japan Supplement Setposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I would jump up and down screaming for trucks if i thought it would help. I want trucks more than different tanks or planes. as far as i see it each new set is more trucks to buy

RE: French Set…need help to finalize set.posted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
pre-defeat france: it’s France at set up before Germany’s first turn.
I would have prefered blue american’s because through lend lease America built the tanks and plane France fought with after the defeat.
