    • China Rule Question

      In 1940 I always thought that China could only leave its own territories for Kwangtung. I was playing a game and someone moved them to Burma. In the Pacific rules it says that allowed. Is that the case in Global as well as Pacific? I wasn’t sure if that was only in Pacific because It wasn’t in Global rules and since there are such fewer countries in Pacific with it being lopsided not sure if that was made to help.

    • RE: What are the pros and cons of no DOW on US by Japan

      I don’t believe I saw it mentioned, but if as Japan I don’t attack on Turn 1 I will go after Russia In the Far East and Amur. Taking away IPC from Russia will always help your German Ally. Every 3 IPC is 1 less troop in Moscow. I also like the fact that as Japan if I don’t attack they are limited to building 3 in the Pacific and if they want more then a lot less in the Atlantic. The plus side of attacking is the possibility of killing the Anzac transport. So if you get lucky with that have 2 infantry take Shan State while also taking out Borneo,Yunnan, French Indo, Philippines, Kwangtung and the areas of China that border then you make a ton of IPC and India gets a ton less while killing the bonus. Also if done right you can set up to take Malaya on turn 2 which is more of a target in my opinion than the money islands. India losing 3 Japan gaining 3 and Anzac losing a bonus is huge. then from there the islands are easy to take. Even if dice rolling is so so it doable. I haven’t rolled well in a game in over a year and that no exaggeration and I still do very well with Japan.

      I never used to like doing a Sea lion or even a fake Sea Lion. last few times as Germany I think its a solid play. I like a Carrier and Fighter on turn 1 build. If I try to save my Battleship in SZ110 I have 2 subs and planes. If they scramble chances of losing a fighter is high. Plus a carrier looks real good with a Battleship and cruiser in SZ 91 if Italy manages to take Gibraltar. It is still a threat to London and also Egypt and US. So US would need to build ships rather than transports and ground forces. Also, with a Italian Bomber going after the UK airbase cant the 3 Fighters scramble against it? I have never seen a naval or air base bombed so not sure how that works. Its intriguing to me though.
