I have read something like that before, but the support was available after the first round of combat.
I think I saw it in HBG’s Global War rulebook…
Its a nice touch to add to a game though.

aaaahhh….yes of course! The planes are in the air before the bombs drop on the runway. Makes sense.
Thanks for clearing that up guys
Much appreciated

This may be a silly question, but I just need clarification
Can you strategic raid an airbase to render the scramble impossible and then have an adjacent sea battle safely knowing that defending land based fighters cant lend a hand?
EXAMPLE
Germany turn 1 (G1) 1 x Strat bomber raids the airbase in England and in the same combat move round, naval and air assualt the UK sea zones and fleets.
I believe raids are carried out BEFORE normal combats??
Thanks all
Wow.
Above and beyond the service to the AA community YG. On behalf of my small group of AA gamers here in Australia, Thank you.
I’ll be printing these this week.

Here are some of each.
cyanight, you are a living legend.

Thanks mate

I don’t have any resources for ya, but I’m curious, how/where did you print the map and did you get a good deal? I’m thinking of doing the same.
I used Young Grasshoppers map on the sticky of this forum and went to a local printing shop (I’m in Australia so no point in telling you about the shop!) they printed it on paper then gloss laminated it. I did this as I wanted waterproofing, but the gloss has a bit of a bad reflection from lighting depending on where you stand. I’m now in the process of finding a way to dull down the gloss. It cost me $175AUD which I guess is around $140 US.
Hi all
Reaching out for some help. I have just printed a mega size G40 map (8x4) and now wish to print some of the battle boards and some kind of IPC tracker and a tech chart.
I dont wish to use the OOB as they are now the wrong size for my table design and I’m trying to steer away from the cardboard.
I would like to add that I printed a vanilla version of the map hence why there is no IPC tracker on the game board now. A special Thanks to Young Grasshopper and his colleague for that map file!
In short does anyone have or can point me in the direction of such aids that I can download and print to my size. I have searched the forums and am not being lazy but I can’t find exactly what I need listed below;
A G40 battle board that is similar to OOB (I found one on forums that is quite plain and just lists the units in each column with no pics)
An IPC tracker, It would be great to get a snip of the long board length one so I can run it along the bottom of my map. Otherwise a box sized one will do and again I’ll print to size
Tech chart
Thank you in advance

I had this problem when introducing new players amongst many other hurdles for them to get over. Here’s how I got round it
I bought some grey model paint and painted the towers/turrets/guns on the cruisers. Don’t get carried away and paint too much of a ship Grey or you’ll lose the original colour.
Its a good colour for the ships and it doesn’t look bad at all!
No need to adapt rules and you get to keep the ‘tanks of the seas’!
Sorry guys, need to rebump this……
Cant seem to find a National Production Chart to use. Imp Leaders great map doesn’t contain one and they are printed on the actual game boards for E40 and P40.
Thank you in advance
Thanks for the speedy reply. I’m definitely getting aa40 second editions so thanks for confirming my pieces are all there.
Does anyone have a link for the Ipc tracking chart as it seems it is on the actual board for aag40?
Thanks again!
Dear AA community
I’m planning on building an AA50 (Given up trying to find a reasonably priced version) by purchasing Global. I have IL’s fantastic map and Boxcars setup cards (retro version) [Thanks you two!!], plus the rules from Avalon. I’m pretty sure pieces will be covered by my Global combination. National objectives are in the rules so thats covered.
Question is, am I missing anything?
Thank you in advance all
Happy gaming
