I love how we talk. Sounds like we are signing up non believers to a cult. I have a friend’s girlfriend and a sister in law already lined up and interested(I think.)

It is meant to be a quick game. Short of reducing a Tank’s movement by 1, or blocking a Tank with 1 Inf each time, suppose we live  with it. Cannot wait anyway. Feel like a child again.

You are right, thanks. Always forget that.

    • RE: Strafing France with Germany and taking with Italy

Wow. If he bought as he did you should not have got those Inf(but you know that). Suppose 3 mech units for SA would have right. You must have been thrown though. Did he even  bluff a Sealion or go straight for Russia? (without a Destroyer). Waiting  and holding with Japan is my plan too

I love the Axis and I am sure most new players will too. I  need to see the map and make my decision then. Am in England, so will be a while yet.

Or just pay 5 for tanks and tell our friends, or children, that it was a printing error! We all love tanks and  if purchasing is hard we will want some.

    • RE: French IndoChina

Never occurred to me, but UK and France are allies and neither are at war with Japan, so why not? Then Japan cannot take on J2 and UK can march his Burma Inf in to claim the 2IPCs, as long as France has fallen. But wait on Krieg. (might keep this one secret though; my Allied opponent does not need any more help!)

    • RE: ITALY IS SCREWED!

Hi Guy. Are you saying Germany should go all out to help Italy including hitting the Cruiser in SZ91  and the French in SZ93 as Garg has said? Might be the only way, but then which UK Home Fleet do we not attack?

    • RE: What do you do about Anzac Inf in Egypt?

Whatever the reason I find it impossible to get going as Italy. Always plan to help with Germany and can never do enough.  Next time Will place 1 UK Inf as Krieg suggests.

    • RE: Just How Old Are We Axis and Allies Players?

Do you not allow for slow typists? Was 18 when I joined the Games’ club at Lancaster University(Oct. 87). Bought first game(stupidly binned) in 90 in London. Went especially!

    • RE: [Question] Can Japan collect the 10 IPC National Objective in these scenarios?

Never considered that, but is a pain for Japan to let Uk/Anzac take FIC on 2 as it pushes them further away from India. Even without a J2 DOW  most Japanese players would NCM in, forfeiting the 8 difference for that reason. Can see that it would be advantageous though if Axis had decided to win on Europe map and hold US on Pacific side and Japan had attacked Amur on J1.

    • RE: Russian troops in the middle east/africa

I always play as the Axis, but thought that a very good NO. The U-Boat scare and threat was very credible. Meant had to keep buying a Sub a turn and that equated to 2  lost Inf for Russian Front.

Thank you. I blame the dementia! Cannot remember where I bought last 2 games. I am sure it was not from the US. Will do same if I see it advertised.

Forgotten where I bought Pacific and Europe, so please point me in the right direction when you see  1941 advertised please!

    • RE: Russian troops in the middle east/africa

I see. Annoying having to creep that Brit Inf back to India though! I also hope that the 2nd Edition rules will remove Russian Political NO from Asia and Africa, as it is too much in my opinion.

    • RE: Anyone have any interest in a "Soviets in the Axis" varient?

UK needs two more NOs. The  German Sub one was a good one, otherwise an Axis free Africa would make sense. Both 5 bonus. How about eliminating Russian political NOs outside of Europe too. Do you envisage US eliminating Italy and Germany then continuing on to Moscow? Nice.
