Ahhh… should have just checked those out myself (face palm). That’s what happens when I get all excited about some minis - type before thinking eh eh eh
Wow! :-o Fantastic stuff! I keep glancing - can’t stop! eh eh ehe - any new units as of late?
Heya, what company makes the minis you use? And is that city piece from Dust? or …?
I just got done looking at the British Calcutta-based Infantry again… loving them. 8-)
Cheers Hoff - unfortunately, have a lot of other photos of these sets but they’re all of that funky resolution level *shrug.
Paul - dammit Texan! I deserve royalties - royalties I say! eh eh eh - and a here’s to your 2013 as well (raises pint).
Thanks Georgemak1 - would love to meet up and hell, have a game. These FMG’s are actually in Canada now though, hopefully Jeremy takes some pics of the finished ones and posts 'em.
And my last one until I bother to go and recover the in-process pics…
And yeah, they’re tanks in the desert. 8-)
Add: Whew… these photos look uhhh, different. What’s up with that… going to check on reducing the sizes or something… grrr.
And if you’ve glanced at my own AAA50th set, you’ll know I’m a big fan of tanks.
Too much mech. for AAorg, that last one had to be posted on its own…
My own games only see mech. infantry via tech. dev., so I had a good time painting these…
Hey…uhhh… modsters. That file prob., you care that I;m uploading these or you need some breathing space? 8-)
Some aircraft…
@Tall:
Lucas,
Oh, cool. We got our own thread! :-D
––Yep. I just seemed the best way to share the wonderful talents of you, Wil, and Chad and the excellent work you’re doing. Like I said before, this will not superseed your thread in the least bit, but add to it. I fully expect, and hope that you’ll share a pic of each your talented paint jobs on your thread as they’re done.
“Tall Paul”
Oh, no worries. I just want to add to the buffet; the need to get credit for it is not that important to me. I will enjoy this just as much as the next person.
Hoff - one of the good ones.
And of course, pics aren’t going up - tried just a few min. ago…
What? You have some finished figs you haven’t posted? I feel deceived… neglected. hehe
I did start to post some old pics of the Italians I did for FMG (unfortunately, most of the photos I have are of them still in the processes, but pics none-the-less, was hoping Jeremy would post pics of the finished ones…). Have a lot of others to post, but the server won’t let me because the uploader is full…
BTW: the name is awesomely appropriate.
Fricking love your Germans! Eheheh - you did the appropriate change up of figs - sweet, man after my own heart.
I was thinking when I looked at your half-tracks, ‘cool, realism in that those guys are on a bumpy road and/or talking amongst themselves’…
Some great modding i tried modding some U.S transports but it was messy at such a fine scale. Thanks for mentioning my half tracks too
Your painted Halftracks showed me how good they could look even without added 3d details.
I decided to raise some details and like the vieports, rear hatches, MG, and helmets and will paint them in the same manner as yours.Love all these Picture threads and at the same time hate them.
Too many possibilities and not enough patience to get my own pieces into a playable finished state for even just one Game.
Maybe I’ll have the original game ready within the year.
“Too many possibilities” - yeah. I hear ya. Curse you and Chag and Hoff and Paul for posting so many damn options. eh eh eh
I like your camo schemes Chag… I’m gonna kipe some of 'em.
:-D
Cheers Sgt. Eh eh eh … oh yeah… good times.
In regard to the OOB… I go back and forth with the OOB pieces man, on one end I kinda like that there isn’t a whole lot of detail - that way it leaves room for more elaborate painting (and now modding). But on the other hand… when an OOB piece still looks plain when your done is frustrating, and next to some of the newer pieces from FMG and HBG, well… But then again, I’m working with the AA50th, so I think it kinda appropriate to include a variety of OOB pieces, kinda like a tribute to the game kinda thing ya know?
BUT, I try to keep in mind that they are gaming pieces and with that in mind, I design mine so that "ease of gaming/recognition trumps historical accuracy (not that I’d stand for inaccuracies mind you ;). I don’t have the luxury of playing with folks who are WWII savvy to the level of knowing particular units… if I still lived in the states and played with one of my original crews… yeah, different story then, wouldn’t worry about easily identifying the piece. But recently been painting a couple units from each nation (my AA50th - the Italians above are with FMG now) to more closely resemble their historical counterparts. Looking forward to posting some of those pics…
Thanks Chag - always nice to hear from a talented painter! Have a lot more pics… but this forum is a pain to upload to… can’t seem to get the others up here despite them being the same as those already posted… :|
Just realized it Paul, you named your talented detailing crew the warmachine I mentioned. Eh eh eh - appropriate.
