      Ok…  my mistake, reinforcing after the battle is allowed.  Thinking back to the original game where you had to move everything in combat.  Not a bug…  IJN moving navy towards south america and getting stuck due to the canal being closed…  this is a bug with the Hard AI.

      this is why you can not attach savegames to your posts

      and this is also why you are unable to post the savegame from triplea

      (this problem is not caused by triplea)

      please contact Djensen to have this resolved, every time this happens in the future

      (you can also donate some to him so that he can buy a larger hard drive for the forum or something)

      For those still looking, you can download the legacy JRE 6 installer by googling “Java for OS X 2015-001”. I’d post the link, but I can’t :(. Anyhow it seems to keep getting moved / hidden but I found it in kBase (supportapplecom) and you can search there with the following article id: “dl1572”.

      Please note that the TripleA version you are referring to, is outdated.
      So is the JRE 6, too.

      TripleA 1.9 will be released soon, replacing version 1.8.0.9, and it needs Java 8.

      Hello,

      i love Triple A, but in the 1.7.0.1 version the objections don’t seem to be working anymore.

      If you capture Stalingrad or Leningrad the 5 ipc is not counted. Only if you capture all of them (so russia too).

      The same goes with the muliple objections (iraq, persia …) from Italy and (hawaii, calcuta) from Japan

      I upgraded the server and increased the number or processes handling requests. As a result, the site seem much more stable now but traffic is also down. I’m going to make some further changes on the server either tonight or Monday.

      Windows restricts the virtual address space of a user-mode 32-bit processes to 2GB * ( … in general )
      Which it has to share with any imported libraries ( kernel32.dll, user32.dll, etc. )

      It would seem the amount of available ram has little to do with anything … because system memory is back by the page file.
      *edit: clarification: if you have 512MB of ram installed a process can still allocate 1 GB of memory … it just “pages”… pages to and from the hard disk as they are accessed.

      Does java requires contiguous memory pages? ( which would be stupid )

      you can try setting the IMAGE_FILE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE flag in the triplea.exe NT header

      I seriously want to play 30 games of global but I do not want to crash the server lol.

      I was thinking maybe have moderators delete games long after they are completed.

      Just delete everything inactive for more than 6 months. That is super quick. If you want to spend many hours you can save the last file of every single game and put the “title, date, and players”  and post an entire thread with just the last file and the result of who was who and who won.

      If that does not clear enough space. Have mods delete games that are completed and recorded. That is it.

      I win 3/4th of my games and I will never look at them again. There is no point to them.
