ok so i took your .png of the map
i opened it up in paint.net
and then i:
1. clicked “black and white”
2. clicked “contrast” and set the contrast to +100%
3. repeated step 2, two more times
the result is a map without those offwhite pixels
feel free to use this for your basetiles

manual dice = use edit mode while rolling them. for some things, like combat, i think it lets you pick the dice or pick whatever casualties you want. for other dice rolls, it won’t do anything.
ai speed = change the ‘ai pause duration’ to be really high. if you are using dynamix ai, you can pause the ai at any point in the special dynamix ai menu.
sorry but you can not use a JPEG
JPEG (.jpg) compresses the file, and during compression the color of pixels change, which invalidates all that work you did to clean it up
you need to a filetype that does not have any compression: PNG (.png)

when you are done, and you have a .png image with no screwed up pixels, post it here so i can double check again for you.
after that, you will run TripleA and click “engine properties”, then click “run map creator”
from there, you will need to click the “tutorial” button, which will load a web page with the map making tutorial in it (you can also find this tutorial in the ‘docs’ folder where you installed triplea to)

hi,
that is a good start, but you will need to do a couple things otherwise it will not work in triplea
first, get rid of all those colors (you can add them in later, but to start you need to be purely black and white).
second, fix those couple black seazones and black/blue territories
third, after you map’s borders look exactly as you want them to, and the map is just black and white, you need to “clean it up”
by this i mean that right now even though the “whites” look white, they are actually many different shades of white. if I go and take the paint bucket set to 0% and fill them, there will be lots of little dots or sections that don’t get filled because they are actually “off-white”
so to fix this, you need to set the maps contrast up (i set it to max). do that once or twice until all the whites are 100% the same white (the exact same hex code), and all the blacks are the exact same black (same hex code)
once you are done with that, post your map again so I can review it
after that, you can start the whole triplea map making process (open triplea, then click ‘engine properties’, then click ‘run map creator’)

And battlemap lets you pull 5 or 10 units off a stack with a simple keyboard shortcut, a feature that would make tripleA more enticing for me.
You can press/hold ALT and then left click to select 10 units at a time. You can ALT right click to deselect 10 units at a time.
(this has been around for like 2 years i think)
Also, after you start a game you can go to the menu called “HELP” and click “movement/selection help”, and it will show you a list of all the keyboard shortcuts.
You can also make the battle window larger by expanding it, to see more stuff.
As far as the view field goes, you can choose to zoom out or get a better monitor. TripleA on a 4k monitor would be freaking amazing.
the UI for all transportation related stuff may change in the future, so that is covered
i do not plan on making a back button, because that would simply be impossible with the way the engine is coded and how it deals with turn phases
in the mean time, move the transports you want for 1 attack in, separate from the other attack. i don’t see that taking any more time than a single ui would, since you have to select the transports at some point anyway.
for redoing purchases, you can reload from the top of the turn (which would be in the autosave or the forum save, or make your own save), or do what gamerman said
