Is there a way we could take all the rules issues and Krieg’s answers and start compiling them into rules errata? I’m sure IL has already done this…

I think the reason behind this is very simple, just who exactly is supposed to control the neutrals’ movement? Think about it, if Japan attacks Mongolia for instance, the allied player, caring nothing about the state of Mongolia would just love this so he can activate all the units and use them as free cannon fodder. Yeah the reason for neutrals not being activated or moved is simple, we as players would take advantage of that. Plus we would have to make a turn for neutrals, track their moves, have a control marker or a different colored unit and all this other stuff that would make the came hopelessly complicated with the materials we have at our disposal. I like the rule because at least now you can invade if you want, but instead of a monetary penalty you now have to fight and it is simple and uncomplicated. That is what we all want, right guys?

For the OOB rules? Yep. Plus, as an added benefit it gives us something new to build on for house rules. I agree, it’s what I want.

On the size square we’re talking about, I think we could comfortably fit the symbol we like with the words “AIR” or “NAVAL” raised like IL is saying. After sleeping on the idea, the hanger may be too ambiguous at this size and we agree that the anchor is a little lame. How about the standard generic top-down airplane for the air base and a generic top-down mini-battleship for the naval base. Again, making it similar to the ones on the task force piece. Light grey in color I guess?

Hmm, I think I almost like the hanger idea better. The crane may be too tall. Maybe a pier or something like that? That would go with the hanger concept.

I like the symbols that were used in the original AAP on the map. Could we do like a 1/2"X1/2" 3D token with those in a manner similar to the task force plastic pieces? Just a raised plane or anchor on a square. This may be oversimplifying for most, but I’m trying to avoid cluttering the rest of my cool FMG pieces on the board.

Ordered mine late and it says I’ll get it on the 22nd :oops: I couldn’t get the system to give me the free shipping for over $100 though (ordered Agricola for a X-mas present with it). Just bought a copy of this not long ago. It’s great! Super easy to learn, so easy to find players, and I’ve played 4 games that all finished in about an hour and half each. No 6 hour mega matches for us married guys…

After repeated attempts, I agree with your 90% chance for Axis. 5 games, 5 Axis victories. I will try the extra bombers. Maybe have the airborne always attack at 2 would help as well. One thing I tried last time (still resulted in Axis victory) is instead of the VC controlled if there is only one side there, the VC is controlled by the last side to occupy the space. e.g.- UK attacks Caen, destroys all Germans. They now control Caen EVEN IF GERMANS REATTACK. That way the Allies just need to capture all 3 and then prevent them from being recaptured. Otherwise, the Allies must eliminate every German unit in the game to achieve victory. Unless I’m misunderstanding the rules???

True, but in order to ensure production happens and there is funding for the rest of the pieces, think chain letter meets pyramid scheme. In other words, buy A&A for your friends X-mas presents, then play a bunch of games with them to get them really hooked. Then show them this thread and tell them to put some money aside for their pieces etc. etc. We could be at the top of the pyramid and get all the pieces we ask for as long as we keep making sales for FMG.

…but we CAN get our own way with HOUSE RULES! And Oz, you make a lot of great ones. I plan to try your carrier rules too and see what my friends and I like better.

I know Xeno is a bad word around here but, didn’t they have a game with two sizes of ICs? If so we could scavenge those for major/minor purposes. Just trying to help the “I hate cardboard” crowd that seems to be growing.
