    • RE: IPC Record Sheet

      I changed the extension from .jar to .zip and then unzipped it. That brought up another set of files etc. in a folder. Everything I click on though says “The jar file “Banker.class” couldn’t be launched. Check the Console for possible error messages”

      Any thoughts?

      Couldn’t get it to run for me. Does it not work on Macs?

      So far all we have seen are Italian pieces. Are you currently working on all of the other nations?

      One Nation at a time.  ITALY first, then JAPAN… etc etc.  The Italians are almost complete and the project is picking up pace.

      Is it going to take the same amount of time for each of the other nations as it is for Italy?

      I would think NO.

      @ruwenzori:

      Do you just print the Nat’l Prod chart Landscape on the legal paper then? Or is that pic on a regular 8.5X11"??

      Thanks in advance.

      That’s the legal size one. I took an 10X20 piece of photo paper, cut it down, and put that in the printer.

      @Variable:

      I downloaded your other ‘42 map. I got mounted and cut today. It’s basically the size of AA50 (45.75" long x 23.5" wide). It’s the first time I’ve ever been able to set up an A&A game WITH NO CHIPS! It’s freakin’ AWESOME!

      Thank you a million times over IL (again  :-D) !

      Pics to follow soon…

      …and this is why IL has my vote for president. He made this possible:

      @Gharen:

      Where did you get the spray adhesive and foam board, local hobby store or ….?  Thanks for posting picks by the way, looks great.

      You can get the foam core from an art store or craft store. The spray adhesive I got from the craft store as well. It’s made by Krylon. 3M makes a good one as well.

      @Gharen:

      I am curious as to how you guys are printing/mounting these.  What kind of paper are you printing it out on or are you guys taking it to a Fedex and having them do it.  Just wanting some opinions/options before I get them printed out.

      I used my home printer to print onto glossy photo paper. Then I used a spray adhesive to back it with a black, 1/4" foam core board. The result is very beautiful and durable. Just be careful not to get photo paper wet AT ALL. If this is a concern, use a good quality heavy weight paper. It won’t be glossy but it will hold up to a little moisture.

      @Bob_A_Mickelson:

      Sorry for the lack of communication this past week. My computer crashed before I was able to finish the project. Be patient. I will get these done.

      Hi Bob,

      Sorry about your loss ( maybe not as a bad as a child, but still like losing a pet)…

      We are all behind you and understand you are doing all this hard work from the kindness of your heart. We will be happy to wait. You shouldn’t feel pressured at all as we know that you have other real life commitments as we all do.

      Make sure to exercise our patience everyone! Bob is doing better work for free that WOTC did for $70. BOB, WE OWE YOU  :-D

    • RE: Confusion concerning a reprint

      The $30 version takes the place of Revised Edition and introduces new players to the updated “Anniversary Rules” without the added confusion of extra countries and tech rules etc. I bought my friend a copy to get him into it. After a few games he’s iching for Anniversary now. Served it’s purpose. Especially since Anniversary now sells for $300 on ebay  :-o

    • RE: WOTC listened

      @Krieghund:

      It doesn’t show infantry attacking on a 2 when paired with artillery, either.  It’s not incorrect - it’s a design choice.  There simply isn’t room on there for all of the combinations.

      Yes, I presumed this as well. Even the big battle boards never showed pairing advantages.

      Yep, big thanks to the guys at WOTC who signed the check on this. It was the right call and now everyone can go make 12 attacks on the Allies and eagerly await E40 while rethinking the Japan strategies.

    • RE: New Battle Strip

      @Entek:

      I got my 6 Japanese Tac Bombers and my new battle strip.  The Tac Bombers show signs of stress on the wings, but they aren’t bent. The battle board has very bad impressions from the tails and gear from the bombers.

      Ditto. I had two of the six with bad wings. I’m good with 4 extra though. The packing was simply a plastic bag of 6 TBs, the battle strips that are more or less the same as before, and the letter from Sam in a plain 1/2 size manilla envelope.

    • RE: Is France going to be a regular army?

      Another question Krieg,

      Aside from Larry’s smart-aleck remark he gave me on this, can you describe the color of the French molds? Basically, is it light, medium, or dark blue (I mean, I assume the blue part, right?)? Thanks-

      A bit of an odd request but, could you post a pic of all the naval pieces next to each other? I’d like a comparison similar to the infantry pic you did. Thanks FMG, looking great!

    • Looking for some 2nd Ed. pieces

      Hi All,

      I’m looking for 2nd edition navy pieces (BB,TRN,SUB,CC) for a game I’m building. I have some stuff I could trade or just pay for them. I have a set of red Japanese from Pacific plus some extra Americans and Brits all from Pacific and Europe. Any takers?

      @FieldMarshalGames:

      @Imperious:

      yes that makes alot of sence. The Soviets don’t need many naval units…just the minimum, but more land units.

      I would think getting the FMG Italians for sale before AAE40 comes out should be a priority. The only Italian unit in AAE40 will be infantry. WOTC is actually moving backwards because the Italian tank was not ready in time for printing.

      We are pushing the sculptors and the factory as hard as we can to get the Italians ready for release.

      Problem is they are going into their “Holiday” for two weeks now…  We will release the Italians ASAP, hopefully that will fund the remainder for the project.

      Any guess on price yet for those Italians? Ballpark?
