      @ghr2:

      On a different note, when will you have more of the expansion set:

      http://www.historicalboardgaming.com/Global-War-Set-Global-War-Expansion_p_726.html

      In stock?

      Hopefully soon. We can get one or two together here and there as inventory and time permits. Contains a lot of custom painted pieces still. Keep checking back or use our other sets to build your own custom kit. The complete parts list is on the site. Perhaps you can substitute some other pieces we have?

    • RE: HBG - Axis & Allies Parts/Accessories and Custom Piece Sets Store!

      I hate to interject in the conversation. You guys are having a ton of fun and tossing around a bunch of great ideas! Just wanted to address our AWOL situation…

      I wish I could say we were on vacation or something. And we did take a few days off for the Holidays. But in reality, we are so busy with day-to-day stuff we can hardly keep up with everything. Mostly my fault I think… Coach works a ton of hours on HBG after his normal 8 - 5. I swear the guy is a machine. He fills all the orders, does most of the research, and deals with the factory etc. I have an 8 - 5 as well that keeps me busy during the day and have been furiously working on AMERIKA stuff at night when I used to be here keeping up with you all. Let me tell you, a Kickstarter is a TON of work, but so worth it in the end when we can deliver a really cool game to the backers.

      HBG has been expanding leaps and bounds the last couple years. We know we’re maxed out with our time but we want to do so many cool things it’s hard to hold back. Hopefully soon we can find a way to dedicate more time to HBG and less to that other “boring real life stuff”  :wink: :-D

    • RE: HBG's Japanese Sets

      Okay gang, looks like the Holiday over there may affect us a bit. A busy factory… Looks like 8 weeks or so on Japanese. Good news is Russian sets are shipping this week from China so we can get those restocked soon.

      Coach just approved the proof set a few days ago. Production will be starting soon but may be hindered a bit by Chinese New Year. We hope to have them sooner than later! I’ve got a lot of favorites in that set with room in my parts bins set aside already like most of you.

    • RE: HBG's Amerika Game ON KICKSTARTER NOW - FUNDED!

      @Yavid:

      after you answer the question of when we can buy it can you answer the question: what in the blue hell is kickerstarter? and why does it need funding?

      Kickstarter is a crowd-funding site that allows us to essentially take pre-orders for a game we want to produce to ensure we meet our BEP. If we don’t collect enough money, nobody pays. If we do, everybody who backs us gets cool stuff. Check it out:

      @P-Unit:

      Any idea when the game will be released to the masses?

      We should have the game being delivered to Backers around May. Retail available around June or so then. We will be setting up a pre-order system as well at HBG but it will cost more than the KS folks paid. We’ll keep you updated.

    • RE: About to Play my First Game of AA Anny!

      HT1… You sonnofabitch!  :-D :-D Been dreaming about this game for a while my friend. Despite the piles of HBG plastic at my house, I have reorganized my AA50 game into the finest that WOTC has to offer! I have taken all the best plastic and paper and put into one box. Thankfully I have piles of HBG plastic at my house so I can play G40 and GW39. See you on the battlefield! No doubt pics and AARs to follow.

      Perhaps in a couple of years or so when all the nations have supplement and expansion sets, HBG will think differently about those kind of sets.

      A BIG THANKS to you ALL. I know most of you are reading my updates each night. But I wouldn’t pass up saying thank you again. It’s because of YOU that HBG was even able to do this. I too hope we hit the $35K mark and get those expansion pieces… I want them too! Sorry we have been a bit quiet here but as you can all imagine, this crazy Kickstarter thing has Doug and I up to our eyeballs! I’ve been updating the KS site and answering questions while Doug brings in more Backers and fills all the orders.

      Great Job Everyone!

      These are some cool ideas! I did consider the Operation Olympic idea before, but just haven’t had time for an undertaking like that yet. The alternate history Cold War scenario sounds very interesting to me. Too many ideas, too little time!  :-D

      @Ben_D:

      Thanks for the responses.

      @Coachofmany,

      That’s good to hear man.  I understand what you’re telling me, it’s nothing short of what I figured.   If I had the capital, I’d help out if I could.  There’s one thing I do know for sure, and it’s that the more patience a person has, the more the outcome is rewarding, more often than not.  I do appreciate what you guys do, and waiting a little longer is absolutely no problem.  Best of luck with all your projects!

      This is exactly why I like this place. You guys are all so nice and you GET IT. Can I get a +1 for all HBG supporters here?  :-)

      Guys,

      @Variable:

      He’s the tall one… :wink:

      ––Cool,….sounds like I might look up to him literally as well as figuratively. Actually I’m the shortest in my family approx. 6’-4". My Dad is still 3" or so taller than me,….although he’s a bit stooped over now that he’s 89 years old.

      ----Variable, I don’t know if you were talking to me about the quote or not but you certainly have my permission,…and best wishes.

      “Tall Paul”

      Excellent! Thank you. And I will.

      @LHoffman:

      I would not be able to stand the size difference between the old and new (tac bomber) pieces.

      Plus, I am sure HBG will produce some of their own Stukas which will eliminate even the OOB tacs.

      8-) :-D :wink:
