    • RE: The Origin of Species

As Jennifer pointed out I’d have to disagree with talk that the scientific community accepts the that evolution is no longer a theory but fact. I’ve read many books on this subject because as I’m sure you all know by now I am a Christian and I want to support what I believe in and there are many scientists that lean now more towards creationism. If you would pick up the book a Case for a Creator or some of the many other Creationism supporting books out there I’m sure you would see my point.

Sure it takes faith for you to believe in Creationism, but on CNN there was a guy who was on the beach when the tsunami hit in Indonesia and there were about 15 kids that he was in charge of watching and he could see that they weren’t gonna make it. So, he raised up his hand and said in Jesus name stop and the water went around all of them. Now people I’m not making this up it was on CNN, there isn’t any way in the world that you can tell me that there wasn’t some kind of power behind that and things like that happen every day. That’s one thing I think people need more now a days is a little more faith.

    • RE: German IC

If I had to buy an industrial complex for Germany I’d have to say the Balkans. It makes Germany’s supply lines for attacks on the Caucasus shorter however it does take away money on a turn that could otherwise be put towards infantry or armor. I would reccomend against buying an IC for Germany.

    • RE: Whats the most important thing about playing?

I’d say all four. Winning makes the game more fun and the competition makes you feel like you’re working for something. If you’re performing at your best you’ll learn something and the games fun anyway so you gotta have fun.

    • RE: Picket or not

I don’t considering picketing pointless, because as a Russian player picketing not only slows down the Japanese player, but allows you more time to prepare defense. Let’s say that Japan has 10 armor, 2 fighters, and a bomber in Yakut and attacks the one infantry in Novo. At the time the Russians had 24 infantry in Moscow, by the time the Japanese have the ability to hit Moscow, they’ll now be 32 infantry instead of 24 considering that Russia’s economy is even. I’d much rather have 32 infantry than 24 to defend my capital.

    • RE: How Many People Use the Two-hit BB in A&A?

Two hit BB’s are a rule in AAE I believe, and a house rule could possibly come out of this. Say that you have designated port territories where your battleships could go to be repaired when damaged. Some examples would be the German ports at Kiel and in France and then they would have the Italian ports in Taranto. Just a thought.

    • RE: German AC or Long range

Well, I would say not even mess with it. However, if that’s what you want then I’d go for the Aircraft Carrier. There’s no guarantee that you’re going to get the long-range aircraft and you could just buy the AC and be done with it.

      Wasn’t he at his son’s b-day party? I don’t know, I could be wrong.

    • RE: Who do you prefer to take Finland/Norway with?

The two biggest reasons for taking Finland/Norway is 1. The British can freely bridge troops over allowing for the support of Karelia and 2. It could turn into an important staging ground for US troops. However, I wouldn’t call Finland/Norway a vital part of the game. As someone mentioned earlier, the Germans could even turn this into a trap if Karelia is successfully taken.

    • RE: Aircraft carriers

I agree with FW, and if you want to get creative you could cause some problems for the American transports sending troops to the UK, and maybe even annoy Washington itself.

    • RE: Who do you prefer to take Finland/Norway with?

I agree with Mr. G, however Finland/Norway can be a very useful spot for an American IC. Never actually tried it considering America is two spaces from France anyway, but it might be interesting to try.

    • Biggest D-Day blunder

Today being the 61st anniversary of D-Day, I’d thought I’d ask: "What is the biggest blunder of D-Day? Was it the Germans leaving the 15th army at Calais, or maybe the missed placed paratroopers landing miles from their drop zones, or could it be Hitler being stupid and not bringing the Panzers to the front sooner? Or maybe there’s something I missed, you tell me.

My vote was for the original, just cause it’s for the original and you can’t beat that, lol.

    • RE: Sealion ,how many moves can it be done in ?

I’ve seen it done on the first move, but the second move is probably a more likely scenario. Against a good UK player, it’s probably really hard. However, I don’t believe it’s impossible.

    • RE: Destroy royal navy ?

If you take care of the British navy early on that means a lot longer that you don’t have to deal with an invasion into German territory.

    • RE: Most Powerful Country

I’d have to go with the UK for the Allies and Germany for the Axis. The UK has the best chance, probably, of taking both Berlin and Tokyo and the Germans are in range of all three Allied capitals.

    • Most Powerful Country

Who do you guys think is the most powerful country in the game? In other words, who is the country who takes the most I.P.C.'s and racks up the most capital kills in most of your games.

    • RE: Japan National Advantages

Actually, I heard that some kind of Japanese balloon reached Detroit once. I’m not sure how far that would be on the board from Tokyo to Eastern U.S., but however many it is that might be the best range for the balloons. I may be way off on this one :-?.

    • RE: How would you change the map?

I’ve never tried to split Karelia up. With Germany’s economy and situation in the original, I think it would hurt the Axis pretty bad if Karelia was split up.
