It would be interesting to see Italy in the game and I’m 50 percent behind the idea. I even made a house rule and a setup for the Italians if anyone ever wanted to see it. However, Japan, in my opinion, should definitely be in the game before Italy.

Fascinating. Maybe limit to two of each unit per turn if your going to do that. Any other thoughts?

RE: Problems with playing Japanposted in Axis & Allies Classic
In a game last night I saw Japan attack Pearl with a fighter, 2 BB’s, and a sub (I think). They took heavy casualties, and ended up having to retreat their two BB’s! Has anyone ever seen this happen before? Thanks again for all of the help :D :D .

RE: What is 1st edition rules?posted in Axis & Allies Classic
I think the first edition rules stopped coming out after they redid the game. If I’m wrong someone please correct me. However, I’m not sure and I wouldn’t know where to find them.

Well, as you can see from one of my previous posts I’m not the most blessed Japanese player. However, you might want to check out that post. See below.

RE: Enhanced Realism Rulesposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I think the main reason why the rules state that defenders can’t retreat is because they are considered to be in an intrenched position, or something that I thought of, maybe they’re surrounded.
The way I see it, the reason why the player that has taken hits gets to sacrifice his units is because if not, his or her best units would be taken out first, leaving his or her opponent with an advantage.
Personally I have never tried these rules but maybe I will sometime :D .

It all seems pretty fair to me except for maybe the Russian industrial technology. However, I’m not sure.

Ever since I’ve know of industrial complexes and industrial bombing raids I’ve allowed the rule that IC’s could be destroyed. However, AA guns, no :D :D . Thoughts?

Infantry Techs
Sniper-Infantry attack infantry at a three or less. Cost:6
Machine Guns-Infantry attack infantry at a two or less. Cost:4
Bazooka Men-Infantry attack armor at a two or less. Cost:5
I know these have probably been mentioned before but are there any thoughts or suggestions?

RE: Problems with playing Japanposted in Axis & Allies Classic
I’ve always gone Pearl heavy and used Pearl Harbor for an invasion of Western U.S.A. I’ve never tried this in a real game, but once I took Eastern U.S.A. by then using Western U.S.A. as a staging point for the assault. Do you think I’m crazy? Thoughts. Thanks again everyone :D :D .

RE: Of bids and battleships…posted in Axis & Allies Classic
I don’t know hardly anything about bids. Two-hit battleships I’ve never tried, and I don’t think I’d like it. Although, I’m pretty sure a lot of people on here do :D . Everyone has their own opinion.

RE: Africa and Brazil?posted in Axis & Allies Classic
I believe the shuck-shuck strategy is when the U.S. continues to send transports, infantry, armor, fighters, ect. to Britain for the eventual invasion of Germany. However, I may be wrong. If so, can someone please correct me and inform us on what it is. Thanks, hope this helps MK :D.

RE: Conquering the USposted in Axis & Allies Classic
Pretty much the only time that I’ve ever seen the U.S. be conquered in a real game, not a game when I was just playing against myself, is when Germany conquered Britain on there first move and then sent about 6 fighters and one bomber (or something like that) over to the U.S., winning the game pretty easily.

I’m not going to do much else except add the Gorn and take away the Tholians. Sorry waraxis but no Orions either. I think the game should just be left the way it is at this point. Hopefully I’ll get some work done on it this weekend, but no new updates right now.

British power in Africaposted in Axis & Allies Classic
If the Germans take Ango Egypt-Sudan their fist move and the Allies have a chance to do some damage to Japan on the first turn, what should the United Kingdom do? Should they build an industrial complex in India or somewhere in Africa, Union of South Africa maybe? Plus, if the Allies do have a chance to hurt Japan on the mainland, should you evacuate the Indian troops to Africa, or should you keep them there to fight the Japanese? I appreciate any help given :D . Thanks :D :D .
