These towers that I created are only version 1.0 and I would like to try to sell version 2.0 of my towers but I still need to work some things out.
I love what you’ve done here. I too don’t have AA50 but I see what you’ve done and can’t help but think this is a great alternative! Do you mind sharing how you did this? Did you take an existing poker table and build on that or did you start from scratch?
Nope, made it from scratch! Well, the design is based around how you would build a poker table but I made some changes of course. The insert is 28"x46" and inserted a map I got from IL…Thanks IL! I printed the map at a print shop. The racetrack is 6" wide all around the table with 3" cup holders and the arm rest are 4" wide with a 1" thick foam padding under the vinyl. Wrapping the vinyl around those tight corners were a pain though.

A lot of hours, table saw, Photoshop and paint.
I used MDF (v1.0 and prototype) but my next ones will be solid wood or plexiglass. These are my first ones and will be making some adjustments and perhaps see if I can sell version 2.0 of the towers but still have to works some stuff out before I do this.
Maybe but it is a big table and we don’t have to pass them around…LOL! Lazy we are.

Here is a pic from our AAP40 double game on my new table. The table is not complete but was playable on. Here is a pic of my original table that I was using for AA50 and the next picture is the new table that I made to fit AAP40 and AAE40. It turned out that it worked well for our AAP40 double game. The new table is 4’x8’ and the insert is 32"x80" with cup holders and 4" racetrack.

Here is a folding game/poker table that I built for Axis & Allies. Quite a few hours and dollars to put together and it being my first table, I think it turned out pretty good! Now I don’t have AA50 but I did, with time and effort, make my own version. The map was printed to 28x48" (map was created by Imperious Leader that I downloaded…Thanks IL!) and I even went as far to make the combat board, National production/research chart and the nation cards. I repainted the pieces so they match because I don’t have AA50 and had to mix pieces together to replicate it. I must say it turned out well and it was a lot of fun!
I have built some dice towers with an Axis and Allies theme. Six towers (one for each player in Anniversary edition) and each tower represents their own nation.
Took me a while to get them all done since they were created from scratch but they turned out great.
I will post some pictures shortly. I still have to clear coat them and still add some felt to completely finish them but I will post some pictures before I do this.
…although I will have to creat a couple more for ANZAC and France for the new Pacific and Europe 1940 games.
