Hey just purchased the global game about 2 months ago and have just managed to play a global game 1 week ago. I have downloaded the Pacific errata and updates and picked bits and pieces up for Europe but im unclear on what this alpha+2 is with extra NO’s and starting positions, and differnet turn sequences. Are these official changes or are these to unofficial as to make the game more balanced. Sorry if this has been explained somewhere else but this seemed like the right thread to ask.

These charts are proposed changes from Larry Harris and will most likely be in the next prints of Europe and Pacific.

ah i noticed something also…  Don’t know if its worth mentioning. But ALL US NO’s apply when its at war. Now it looks like only the uppermost NO applies when at war.

I see what you’re talking about!  Ummm…so I don’t have to change it again, we’ll just say that the NO’s for the USA are “all applied once at war”.  :wink:

WHats happened to the US NO of boosting income at war?  And what are the new starting incomes?  Are they the same?

The US NO has been reduced and broken up into smaller blocks.   The starting IPCs have not changed.

The only income change is the U.K. which is now 28 IPCs (London) and 17 IPCs (Calcutta).  I think?

I’m impressed with the new Kamikaze rules.  I have never seen them used because USA always bypassed these islands.

Hello everyone,

Here are the Alpha+2 Setup (with NOs) cards for all 3 variants of the 1940 games on one card.  Let me know if you find any errors.

Print both pdf files, cut them out and put the Nation setup and the NOs together and laminate them and you’re good to go.
One side of the card should be the setup and the other should be the National Objectives.  Similar to the Anniversary edition cards.

The charts are setup for 8 1/2 x 11 paper.

If you are meaning Alpha +1, then your right it is not the current setup.

Although I can do an Alpha version if everyone wants this.  Question is, should I wait for Alpha +2 to come out first?
