      Not really.  It might take 3 rounds to finally over power the combined forces of Germany and Japan.  Actually, it USUALLY takes 3 rounds of loads to finally out stack the combined German/Japanese defensive forces in Africa.

      The only point to ICs in Sinkiang/China is if you have one in India and you are leaning hard on Japan.

      You can easily build fleet and force the Japans into countering you instead of attacking SE Asia while you secure your territories and get your factories running.  Then retreat the fleet or press the advantage depending on your own style.  After all, once you have a significant force in SE Asia, there’s nothing Japan can really do to get out of it.

      Actually, if faced with this as Japan, I’d recommend leaving FIRST.  See if you can blockade England and relieve some pressure on Germany.  It’ll take a few rounds for America to get your islands and while doing that, they’re not invading Europe.

      @trihero:

      you seems to completely ignore my posts in the threads about Axis and Allies Revised. You may check by yourself in the threads you participate, maybe you should have read also some posts of mine.

      You’re right Mr. Romulus, I’ll pay more attention to your posts.

      If I receive negative feedback on my toughts about the game  I may learn where I am wrong.
      If I receive negative feedback on my grammar (I am not born in an english speaking country, I am Italian) I may correct my writing abilities.
      If I receive negative feedback on whatever I write I may then avoid that in the future.

      That’s a good attitude…I’ll reward you with my criticism  :-o

      Well I’m not going to smite anyone back. Not enough reason  :wink:

      Thanks Trihero.

      I find it is not cost effective to go island hopping unless I am in full KJF mode or the Japanese were foolish and put their fleet in the Med and then let me close the Suez trapping them between the allied fleets and a close canal.

      Lately I have been going heavy Kreigsmarine.  1 Carrier is silly if you don’t reinforce it.  2 Carriers, 4 Fighters, 2 submarines, maybe another transport in there, now you are forcing England to build navy, not ground forces.  That’s almost the equivalent of removing one power from the game right there.

      You definitely need the AC in a move to SZ3.  Otherwise UK can destroy you with just their AF.  If they have a BB to absorb damage, you could lose the Baltic Fleet potentially w/o loss to UK.

      AC UK1 is standard for me, maybe UK2 but even if Germany don’t buy ftrs the UK fleet can be easily sunk.

      If I use this and have a battle where there are multi-country units there, do I just add in all the pieces that are there?  I would imagine so myself, but I just want to make sure I’m doing that correct.

      I have no idea what version it was.  A friend of mine, Kurt, invited me over to play while he was downloading something over his 14.4 modem off of some ftp server somewhere.  Anyway, he was Axis and I was Allies.  I played the Russians by buying a mix of things.  I know I bought  fighters, not sure on how many tanks or infantry.  I played them aggressive.  Always attacking towards Germany.  I was not sure what to do with England or America so I bought tech and bombers.  eventually, both had Heavy Bombers and Long Range Aircraft and I kept doing Strategic Bombing Runs against Berlin.  The tide started to turn at that point because I would blast away most of his income leaving him a few IPC’s for a handful of infantry.  I completely ignored anything that was not Europe.  I eventually lost due to the Magic 84 rule, I had forgotten about it, because I just let the axis control all of Africa and most of Asia.  That actually made me mad because I was sure I could have cracked into Berlin within a turn or two.  :x  I was practically knocking on the door with huge stacks of Russian units and I had a ton of US & UK bombers.  That and I had some amazing early rolls, I think.  He was a good sport about it and pointed out that if I had done Torch with the US I could have avoided it for a bit longer and probably would have won.  I literally had not touched/moved a single US or UK land unit the whole game.

      Germany would be ready to rock and roll with an extra 8 in Africa…  They would benefit far more than giving the 8 to the Japanese since there is very little to check Japan in the long run in Asia.  The Germans would not need to pull troops from Europe to successfully assault Egypt(closing the Suez-sealing off the Indian fleet), and they’d be able to drop reinforcements to prevent an American counter in US1 in Algeria.  The Germans can go after the Brit BB in the Med with the BB prtotecting the planes(The BB isn’t needed to protect the transport against the Destroyer in the Med when amphibbing Egypt because the amphib isn’t necessary).  The sub could be used to sink the tranny in Canada, hamstrining the Brits efforts in Norway in GB1.  They could move both fleets together in G2… without sacrificing Africa.  And take 4 IPCs off the Brits in G2 as well…  Plus the rest of Africa in G3(would be enough to offset what is lost to US in US2)…  Even if the Allies are aggressive in the first round, there is no reason why Germany would be collecting less than 39IPCs(as opposed to 37) in round1, 42 in round 2, and 44 in round 3.  This almost guarantees that Germany will hang around no less than 7 rounds(more than likely 8 or 9)…  Long enough for Japan to strike down Moscow.

      @trihero:

      I dunno, I’ve been talking with a very good Revised player and he never will play the Axis unless he has a bid of 8 (1 inf in Libya 1 tank in Algeria).

      Just do your best to last as long as you can until Germany kills UK or Russia, or both.
