      @noneshallpass
      @insaneHoshi
      It says:
      “Once per game, and prior to January 1941, all German land and air units may make an additional sequence of combat moves, combat (including blitz) and non-combat movement. The second round of attacks takes place immediately after the end of the first non-combat movement. Units with blitz may use this ability both rounds if possible”
      To me the “all” is key. If Iraq aligns in the combat phase, and you start the next impulse at the end of non-com, then the Iraqi infantry is a German unit by that point and can make a move. there is nothing about starting the turn German. You could do the same with Slovakia or Romania.

    • RE: Questions on the outcome of Spanish Civil War

      @noneshallpass It’s another holdover from v2. It it one got +1 IPP/turn from having won the war, not +inf/turn. The V3 way is a little more valuable. :)

      @noneshallpass That would be my view as well.

    • RE: Are We Forced to Place Units from the Production Chart?

      @theveteran No he doesn’t. That’s Morten, the guy actually in charge of the rules.

    • RE: Are We Forced to Place Units from the Production Chart?

      @insanehoshi I would like to point out that any unit is placed in the place units box during the Production phase before being placed on the map. The “production coaster” used by many is technically against the rules. ;)
      7.1 Building Units:
      “Once units are payed for, they are placed on the production chart.”

      All units follow the same process. The only difference is how long it takes.

      As for the contradiction, I believe that there is none. The two sentences are not contradictory. Not being able to place a unit does not preclude choosing not to place a unit.
      The actual basis of that interpretation lies in the first sentence in the section:
      “Place all units that are in the place units box on the production chart on the map.” (Emphasis added)

      I think one or the other must be correct. I usually incline to more options and player choice, but there is not good reason to chose either over the other.

    • RE: Are We Forced to Place Units from the Production Chart?

      @theveteran Not really. Until errattaed, that is perfectly, valid, and might I say, correct. GHG is not always right.
      Also delaying production is sometimes very nice.

    • RE: Great Circle routes

      @noneshallpass Yes. The Allies sized Iceland for that very reason. It became an important stopover between the US and UK. It is actually rather good already in the Atlantic, as there is a little known northern route that not many use.

      Note that you cannot fly over the canal at all. It is in a land zone, and you cannot move through a neutral land zone. Only a friendly or hostile one.

    • RE: German Possesses Iraq? Never gonna happen right?

      @delaja This only happens if Germany is at war with the USSR. I usually see that happening earlier.
      @Aldrahill
      I find it decently easy. If you drop an Airborne from the Balkans in Syria or Transjordan, you get Iraq. Also, in late game if you take Transcaucasia, Turkey will align, and then that places a German militia in Kars, and Iraq will align. You can also just roll through Egypt in late game to get there.
      Holding it is harder. :)

      I would agree. Just like in A&A, or when a carrier is lost, I would assume that the planes have one move to find a space in which to land.

    • RE: Japan bonus from money islands

      @aldrahill I think it is just a personal preference thing. You can definitely attack at the same time, there is just so many places to hit that it leaves you a little exposed. You can also attack later after you beat the allies back.

    • RE: Is there going to be alternate history options when you connect GW 1914 and 1936

      @board-3659 I believe so. GHG has mentioned a system where you can take the VPs from '14 and use them to influence the start of '36.

    • RE: House rule: Second Admendment

      @theveteran Yes, hitting the fleet then bashing in one territory with little defense. That is what happens. The US never has enough to defend its whole coast.

    • RE: Are We Forced to Place Units from the Production Chart?

      @theveteran Yes, b/c that is all the militia I will ever need. It is best to get them when they are discounted. I then used my other 150 IPP to buy infantry and tanks for offensives outside of the USSR.
