      @insanehoshi A canal is in a land zone, so you would have to count it for the fighter.
      Considering the you cannot fly over neutral land zones, and you cannot fly over a neutral canal, I assume this infers you need to spend the movement point.
      Not a rule I particularly like, but that is the RAW.

    • RE: Spain

      @jbuckbuddy I don’t know if this made it into V3, but in V2 it explicitly said if Germany and the USSR went to war, the sides aligned and no-one won.
      I think this is still the case, but I’ll need to check.

    • RE: How do you play rail lines?

      @trig
      There are several jumping territories.

      For instance, railing from Buenos Aries to Paraguay, you need to go though Gran Chaco, Uruguay, Pampas, Gran Chaco again, and then into Paraguay.

      Or here, from Southern India into Afghanistan: b0149bbf-a9fc-457f-b2e6-f1f22cfa48d7-image.png You must go through Haryana and Benares.

      Or here:

      Or here, from New York to Great Lakes:

    • RE: How do you play rail lines?

      @hbg-gw-enthusiast For bombing rail (and scorched earth for that matter) it damages everything inside the territory. I don’t remember where I head this, but I did.

      Note that 10.4 says “along rail lines.” To me, this means that you have to follow the map art.

      As for the ports, I believe any “connections” to post to be purely artistic. IRL, all post would have some form of railway connection, and I assume that is also intended in game. As for Belgium, the Channel ports can be used as rail for supply paths, so I think that is why there is a rail at that port.

      This also raises questions about rivers though. Do you have to “cross” a river on rail to switch to it? Or be in the same territory?

    • RE: The FAQ Thread

      @insanehoshi I would assume not, as both end the combat, and come before you would retreat. That said, that is out of my head, I’ll check the rulebook and get back to you.

    • RE: AA Clarification

      @captainnapalm Oh yes.

      FAQ:
      A: They only participate in the first round of combat. Each Anti-aircraft Artillery gets 1 shot per aircraft, up to a maximum of 3 shots per Anti-aircraft Artillery unit. Refer to table for the number of dice the Anti-aircraft Artillery units get to roll based on the number of aircraft available as targets. Although Anti-aircraft Artillery units cannot fire in subsequent rounds of combat, they may be taken as casualties in any combat round.

      [The table wouldn’t copy]

      Example: Japan attacks Burma with 4 aircraft. FEC defends with 2 Anti-aircraft Artillery units. Thus, FEC would roll 6 dice.

    • RE: Special Fortification Zones

      @noneshallpass
      @JbuckBuddy
      This isn’t exactly made clear, but I would go with the old A&A rule of, “if it has a land border, it isn’t and island.” Otherwise, what is an island. Is the UK? Is Australia? It goes on and on.

    • RE: SS question

      @linkler I believe it is placed in the territory at the end of the turn, just like other upgrades or placements.

    • RE: AA Clarification

      @linkler This is another subtle change from A&A. Unlike in Axis and Allies, there is no mention of a cap at the number of planes. (one shot per plane) There is only a mention of one shot per plane per gun
      This means, that if 5 AAA were attacked by 3 fighters, each fighter would get a shot at 5 times. Just absorb that for a minute, and remember that AA can attack too. And that there is air superiority. And then you start wondering why you put planes on the front line.
      It is certainly powerful, and make sure you know about it.

      @jbuckbuddy Yes, I think it is. It is the only one you have to worry about it, though.

      @jbuckbuddy Agreed. Same with Iran and Iraq, or other such.
      This just shows how important Transcaucasia is.

      @linkler I don’t think that you can use commanders, but I don’t play Admiral

    • RE: SOE Brandenburgers

      @Linkler
      Note: I don’t play with SOE, but this is my thought.

      They infiltrate into a zone.
      Then, if Germany attacks into that zone, they fight as a light infantry like any other Special opps unit.
      If the enemy attacks out of the zone, the attacking enemy must retreat on a roll of 11-12, back to that zone.
      This keeps going unit he runs away or dies.

    • RE: Commanders and Terrain?

      @aldrahill I treat it as any other casualty. They shot back that round, and the effects (whether death or damage) is applied afterwards.
      (Of course first strike would mess with this.)
      So, yes, they shot

      Edit: I hit enter too early. :)
      Continuing:
      “…at 8 for the round when hit”

    • RE: Commanders and Terrain?

      @aldrahill I agree about the specialized commanders.
      As for art, you would get +2. Commanders stack with the art bonus.

      @theveteran
      @Aldrahill
      The FAQ stated a while ago that commanders are above and beyond terrain. (ie, they don’t care about the 1 highest, 1 lowest rule.) Thus you just apply the penalty, then move the units up by one.

    • RE: British Wartime Income and Enemy Submarines

      @delaja You realize that this is only a wartime bonus income, not a VP, right? The UK has no convoy related VPs.

      Also, I would assume the bonus is calculated during the UK turn (like everything else), so if you sink the raiding subs, you still get the bonus.

      @delaja Are you mentioning that “raiding” is not well defined, especially as to when it stops?

    • RE: 3D Printing this Game?

      @admiralnutt I don’t know.
      I do know that with G40 and a few extra pieces here and there ( a copy of 1941 is really nice) you can have almost a complete game if you use marking chips under the units. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Fc9QuXN5Z0&list=PLtSU9JD2VSqcEC1hH45vzkfjwGpCQ7dzZ&index=2)
      As for 3d printing, I don’t know that much, but Cobra Wargaming (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXmTE0T2irmsyr-nc6xfsyA) has made several 3d printed pieces so I would ask him.
