    • RE: Preview of the GW1936v4 Map

@imperious-leader said in Preview of the GW1936v4 Map:

@dsumner Map should be taller so Afrika isn’t so “midgetized”.

You do realize this is a 4 foot tall map already, right?

    • RE: AA Guns

@timothy-gengarella No. The inherent guns only fire during SBRs.

    • RE: Allied Dec. of War on Vichy

@theveteran Which can only happen if someone decides to attack Rep. Spain.

@caesar-seriona But it was still fighting for sure.

    • RE: Flying over impassable territories

@jsimpson7695 If you look, all impassable terrain is a border terrain. You just ignore it.
On the Italian planes, they can’t fly to Abyssinia, as they cannot fly over neutral UK territory. (Sudan)

    • RE: Allied Dec. of War on Vichy

@caesar-seriona Or doesn’t like having the Allies focus him?
Also, often Vichy and Italy only hurts the Allies, there is no reason for the Soviets to worry. It is in their interest that they are strong and hold back and allied advance.
Also, how are you getting the Spanish troops?

@insanehoshi Yes, but then the allies can DOW the USSR. So I would be asking for alot more than 10 IPP as the USSR.

    • RE: 2025 Bigger version

@imperious-leader Or you can have everyone go at the same time.
It also means that income is divided, concerted attacks are harder, and cooperation is less effective. The only upside is can openers.

    • RE: 2025 Bigger version

@aegiscruiser117 They mentioned it a couple years ago when 2025 was first in development. I asked Doug recently about some of their older projects, and he said didn’t mention 2025. That said, I hope it will get picked back up again, maybe after 85 comes out.

@imperious-leader Maybe look at the above post?
Things like making India or Japan their own faction would work well. You could also have a Commonwealth and EU split.

    • RE: DAK house rule

@caesar-seriona Do note that the stated unit size for Global War is 1 corp=1 unit. A corp tends to be 2-4 divisions.

    • RE: Why can't movement be a single phase?

@captainnapalm Mainly, it allows to see what your combats are before you move, so you can respond to the results.
Also, it allows you to break blockades of sea zones and then move through them.

    • RE: Fortified lines being flanked and how for the defender to respond.

@caesar-seriona I believe this was covered a while ago but here is is again.
As far as I can remember, forts active against all units as long as one attacker attacks across the fort. This even includes a plane flying over.
There is no distinction, so just don’t attack across a fort.

@trig Also, for what it is worth, in V2, this was a one time thing. (Same as all other pacts)

    • RE: KMT CCP truce

@jbuckbuddy Historically, not really. There was some cooperation early on (the truce) but then the KMT and CCP stated infighting in 1940? and stayed separate the whole time.

    • RE: USSR entering China

@hbg-gw-enthusiast No one your last point. To share a territory you must be aligned. (From the same side and at war with the same major power.)
That means to share Sinkiang, both the USSR and CCP would need to be at war with Japan, or FEC, or something like that.

    • RE: Monroe Doctrine violation and US response to do it while under 63 dollars.

@caesar-seriona No, that is not until 63.
50 only allows you to fight EuroAxis ships within 2 SZs of the US.
You can NCM ships (provided they are adjacent to US Land zones) at 35.
Note that combat move is not required to end next to a US Land zone (See FAQ)
