      @theveteran
      That would be great, if we knew what they were.

    • RE: Can you lend-lease facilities?

      @linkler Iraq does border the sea.
      Also, lend is lease is only for “military units or IPPs.” I don’t think Facilities count as “military units”

      @trig Here is a pic of Iraq/Kuwait.

      The red is what I think the borders are under the port, and the black shows the definite coastline.

      @hbg-gw-enthusiast I believe so. I hadn’t noticed that change. Is it from 3.0 to 3.1?

    • RE: Can a Nation Contribute Negative Victory Points to its Alliance?

      @spartantom I would apply it, they are nations. It just makes it alot harder for them to get VPs. You basically have to become a major power.

    • RE: Victory Points for Captured Objective Cities

      @hbg-gw-enthusiast My thought as well. The change clearly mentions “capture” which would not include such cites as Sydney, Calcutta, London, Washington, etc for the allies. (Assuming we don’t include recapture.)
      I’m not sure if I like the change or not.

    • RE: Lend-leasing of a French Foreign Legion?

      @caesar-seriona The point is that English common law works great in a courtroom, but not so great in a board game. It does not apply here.

      It has been stated many times that the interpretative method in GW36 is "if it isn’t in the rules, it’s illegal."

      I would say yes, as it is a noncombat move, and you do noncombat movement phase twice. Most “per turn” stuff goes out the window with lightning war.

    • RE: The FAQ Thread

      @noneshallpass But you cannot pass over a land zone with a fighter, even if that fighter is on the ground without an air base and cannot ever engage. I would say MAP is the same way. The “threat” keeps you from moving through.

      @noneshallpass @insaneHoshi
      It says:
      “Channel ports are minor ports and narrow crossings.”
      I would think that since they are a minor port, you can bomb them. This might only disable the non-infantry class units from crossing though.

    • RE: Commanders and Terrain?

      @aldrahill I agree about the specialized commanders.
      As for art, you would get +2. Commanders stack with the art bonus.

    • RE: Commanders and Terrain?

      @aldrahill I treat it as any other casualty. They shot back that round, and the effects (whether death or damage) is applied afterwards.
      (Of course first strike would mess with this.)
      So, yes, they shot

      Edit: I hit enter too early. :)
      Continuing:
      “…at 8 for the round when hit”

      @jbuckbuddy Agreed. Same with Iran and Iraq, or other such.
      This just shows how important Transcaucasia is.

    • RE: AA Clarification

      @linkler This is another subtle change from A&A. Unlike in Axis and Allies, there is no mention of a cap at the number of planes. (one shot per plane) There is only a mention of one shot per plane per gun
      This means, that if 5 AAA were attacked by 3 fighters, each fighter would get a shot at 5 times. Just absorb that for a minute, and remember that AA can attack too. And that there is air superiority. And then you start wondering why you put planes on the front line.
      It is certainly powerful, and make sure you know about it.

    • RE: How do you play rail lines?

      @trig
      There are several jumping territories.

      For instance, railing from Buenos Aries to Paraguay, you need to go though Gran Chaco, Uruguay, Pampas, Gran Chaco again, and then into Paraguay.

      Or here, from Southern India into Afghanistan: b0149bbf-a9fc-457f-b2e6-f1f22cfa48d7-image.png You must go through Haryana and Benares.

      Or here:
      ![0_1638437725362_d5c8ea44-7208-41d9-bbc6-fb54498a91ea-image.png](Uploading 0%) To go from Queensland to Southern Australia, you must control Sydney.

      Or here, from New York to Great Lakes:

    • RE: How do you play rail lines?

      @hbg-gw-enthusiast For bombing rail (and scorched earth for that matter) it damages everything inside the territory. I don’t remember where I head this, but I did.

      Note that 10.4 says “along rail lines.” To me, this means that you have to follow the map art.

      As for the ports, I believe any “connections” to post to be purely artistic. IRL, all post would have some form of railway connection, and I assume that is also intended in game. As for Belgium, the Channel ports can be used as rail for supply paths, so I think that is why there is a rail at that port.

      This also raises questions about rivers though. Do you have to “cross” a river on rail to switch to it? Or be in the same territory?

    • RE: Why can't movement be a single phase?

      @captainnapalm Mainly, it allows to see what your combats are before you move, so you can respond to the results.
      Also, it allows you to break blockades of sea zones and then move through them.
