Does anybody know the scale of the air units in Axis and Allies? I want to buy some pieces from here:

Thanks for the insight. I’m easily convinced. I’m adding the CG has the AA ability to my rules.
I still might try to make the BB more powerful. For the same price as a BB you can get a CG and DD. (4HP for the BB compared to 5 for the CG DD combo). Not to mention the CG DD combo can hit 2X per round. AND now the CG will have AA ability. I’ll put some thought into it and make another poll for a new BB ability.
I’m writing out an entire rule book. It is mostly copied from the OOB rules, but it has my own set of house rules implemented. When I am done I will share a Word file so people can download it and edit it to make their own rule books.
I have been working on some of my own house rules. One thing I was thinking about doing is making certain naval units have anti-air powers (like AA Guns). I was thinking of giving this power to the battleships for a few reasons:
I think they probably had more AA guns on them than any other ship (Does anybody know enough about WWII naval units to confirm this?)
With the new PAC40 rules a lot of people are having trouble justifying buying a BB instead of a DD and CG combo. I like seeing the battleships in the game so I want there to be a reason to buy them.
It probally makes sense to give this ability to several naval units, but I don’t want to change the game dynamic too much so I was trying to keep it to 1 type of unit. What unit do you think should have this ability?
Fantastic! Really like your touches to the aircraft carriers! Huh - wouldn’t have thought I’d like that shade of blue on the cats… but I actually like 'em a lot.
I tried the darker Navy blue first, but it was overpowering. I used it for the base of the roundels instead. If I ever get some Corsairs though, the dark blue will look great on them.

Hey Variable, Can you tell me how many decals came on each sheet from I-94? I have my Pac40 pieces done for the Japanese and I am STILL trying to figure out what to order.
If you feel really ambitious it would be awesome if you could tell me what part numbers you ordered (Some countries (like Japan) have several different decal kits they recommended and I am wondering what ones are the flags and what are the red dots, etc…)

I have not played this game enough to know how they normally turn out. For a J1 attack what if the US focused ALL of its support on saving Australia (this is historically accurate as one of our 1st objectives was Guadalcanal. Then if the UK only focuses on buying infantry to keep India alive then it seems like even if Japan had slightly more IPCs then the Allies then it would be in a tough place trying to contain the US from expanding their island-hopping campaign starting from Australia and containing the british from starting to push back with all the infantry they have been buying to protect India.
Is the amount of air power Japan starts with just too powerful for the british to defend india using only infantry?
I know what you mean. College football in the US is one of my top 3 hobbies (varies between A&A, F1 racing and College football). MSU =Michigan State University Spartans. They have VERY similar uniforms to the one in your picture. My uncle actually went there.

Did you paint your black pieces gray, or your gray pieces black?
Haven’t got to Die Germans yet, but they will most likely be grey since most of the Vermacht was grey.
Seriously though guys threats like “I will not buy the pieces unless they are grey” is ridiculous. FMG is doing their best to please everybody, but on this there is not a consensus. If it is not what you like then get over it!

I assume you just put those on the form that you download off their website to order.
I am trying to confirm pricing and which decals are what exactly (and how many come on a sheet). I’ll post a reply when I hear back. Vicacocha, do you know if the numbers indicate size or are just part numbers for different designs?

I emailed that place you suggested to buy decals from, but they never got back to me. Do you normally have to call them? I sent them a link to your photos so they could tell what I wanted. Do you still have your order sheet that you would not mind posting? (I’m just interested in the part numbers and prices.)
I would be in for $100. We all asked FM to include everything that is included. He is putting his business’s resources behind the project. I think it is our responsibility to support this effort.

I wanted to start a forum where we could suggest some new functionality to tripleA to the developers. I know you guys are busy, but I thought it would be nice to give some ideas your users have.
Here are some I had:
If you click on a territory you can set up “options” for it. Some people might have ideas for more, but one option I would like to see is changing the default causulities for PBEM games. It could be “Offensive Mode”: It will take allies that are in the territory as casulties before taking the owner of the territory’s units as causalities. I think this is the way the game is by default. “Defensive Mode” it will take infantry first, artillery…etc. and ignore which country owns the unit. The last units that will be taken are aircraft then. It will keep the defense value of the territory high for as long as possible.
I was wondering if there was a way to store game files online (like google documents) so that people could play without actually having to email game files to each other. I think there could be other advantages to this. You would not need to have all the battle results emailed to you to keep track of battles. There could be a log file that is attached to the file that is stored online.
If anybody has anything else to add please do…
Did you get the decals from the same place that Viracocha got his? What are the part numbers you ordered?
I started to paint my pieces. They looked really good when I sprayed them, but the details are hard. I bought a really fine high-quality brush from the hobby store and I still have trouble making thin-consistent lines. I am thinking of starting over and trying to use a toothpick as a paintbrush.
I don’t have any game that has the Hellcat in it, but I do really want carrier-based US fighters. I was thinking that I could paint the Zero model to look like the Hellcat…
