    • RE: Explaining abbreviations please?

ok, i answer a part of it by myself :-)

KJF (instead of J could be UK, G, US, or R) - kill Japan (or UK, US, Germany, or Russia) first
      LANT - i guess it’s Atlantic?
      ART- artilery
ARM - tanks (because it is called ‘armor’ in the original verison)

but i still don’t know what is:

DD (as some sort of unit?) -
BB (i think it’s not a bomber, cause the guide suggest buying BB and BMR) -
LUFTWAFFE PLANES (though it’s not an abbreviation i guess) -

    • Explaining abbreviations please?

      hi people!

so i wanted to learn some strategies and i found some interesting guide but soon found out that i don’t understand what they are talking about!
i though that it would be helpful for newcomers (like me) to see this post, so please lets add all commonly used abbreviations or nick names in the game.

      what do those abbreviations mean?

KJF (can it be 'kill Japanese fleet?) -
KGF (can it be 'kill German fleet?) -
BB (i think it’s not a bomber, cause the guide suggest buying BB and BMR) -
LUFTWAFFE PLANES (though it’s not an abbreviation i guess) -
LANT (listed with some territories) -

those i figured out, correct me if i’m wrong:

      G(or UK,J,US,R)1,2,3… - Germany in round 1,2,3…
      VC - victory city
      NCM - non combat move
      R1,2,3… - round 1,2,3…
      INF - infantry
      FTRS - fighter
      BMR - bomber
      SZ1,2,3… - sea zone 1,2,3…
      MED FLEET - Meditareat fleet

      thanks for help

    • RE: Confused with submarines

      So
2 cruisers, no destroyers attack an enemy transporter, but there’s also an enemy sub there. Sub decides to defend so it starts the whole combat. it hits and the cruiser is removed and has no change to attack.
Does the cruiser in this situation see the sub and can it hit the sub?
      Is all above correct?

      Thanks guys, really  :-)

    • RE: Confused with submarines

      thanks!

      one more:
but if an enemy ships (with no destroyer) are attacking my ships and i also have a sub in this see zone with which i make a surprise attack (as a defender) and later an enemy hits me, can he/she hit the sub, or is it still invisible to them?

those rules are killing me

    • Confused with submarines

      hi

      i’m confused about submarines…
      1. is it so that a surprise strike takes place INSTEAD of a normal strike and can take place many times in the following rounds of the battle once per round, or does a sub have only one surprise strike at the beginning of the battle and then a normal strike in the same round and more normal strikes for the rest of the battle unless it submerges?

      2. can i make a surprise attack with my sub and then submerge right away so nobody gets the chance to hit me? (i guess that would be possible if the answer for the 1st question was that sub has two shots)

      3. if a ship is moving in a non-combat round through the see zone with an enemy sub, can the enemy decide to make a surprise strike with this sub, or can it be done only when the moving ship ENDS the movement in the see zone with the enemy sub?

      :?
