      @jluna1273:

      Toblerone77,

      Question for you: how did you get the “CUSTOMIZER” tab on your profile?

      Marc has your answer pretty much there. The link kind of shows why, what, when ,where and who made this happen.

      There are people here a lot better than me on a lot of subjects involving customization and HRs/game ideas, and I was surprised I even received it.

      “Customizer” covers a lot and I’m sure in time others will be awarded this badge. For myself I nominated a few who really showed they were doing a lot for the game. Most notably “Most Holy” and “alllworkandnoclay” they both paint and Most Holy is the host of Dicestruction podcast. This to my knowledge is the only podcast which features Axis & Allies exclusively. These guys were just a couple whom I nominated. I asked a few people to move allworkandnoclay’s thread to customizations to help all those who paint and customize their units as a tool.

      The credit for much of this goes to YoungGrasshopper who suggested the badge for Der Kuenstler initially, whom I also nominated for his war room and his HR work.

      Do you actually own copy of Axis & Allies (any version) or just play tripleA?

      I

      Since the rule has been made noone has flipped the table… Yet.

      It was flipped once after turn 3 of are second game of global.

      I was Italy and taking over a poorly played Japan from a friend who had to go. The Allies were going really hard on the Pacific and after my turn 3 which was extremely good especially with dice rolls. They took there turns and flipped the table as they saw the writing on the wall. That is why the rule was in place.

      Anybody who wants some fun added to thier games should check out HBG and thier product line if you haven’t yet. They have something for everybody and give you near-OOB pieces for custom games.

      @CWO:

      @toblerone77:

      Korean Troops.

      Hmm…I note that some of the troops lack hands, arms and heads.  I assume that these body parts are provided separately in the package for attachment with glue, and that these figures aren’t supposed to represent soldiers who’ve been severely wounded in battle.Â

      How well do these figures fit alongside A&A troops in terms of scale?

      They Americans a bit beefy compared to the Axis players but so are the Germans. You could probably snap the two piece figures together but I’ll be glueing them. I will also probably prime, paint, and dip thess guys too. I’m not sure what I’ll do with them yet. They were a steal at six bucks and I couldn’t pass it up.

      The Koreans with AKs just fit the part of some kind of insurgent, and I couldn’t resist buying them. The Easy Company Americans have guys dragging parchutes and really might come in handy. The Korean era Americans have M-14s, M-1 Gerands, and M-1 carbines.

      When I get a minute and get the guys off thier runners and cleaned up I’ll post pics.

      @Cmdr:

      I have 3 factory sealed, mint condition “Classic” sets.  I do not either want to purchase one, nor do I want them to go back into print.  Let em die out, I wanna sell mine for $1500 each!

      I disagree. Classic is dirt cheap and so heavily produced it’s like “sealed Monopoly”. Even a sealed AA50 edition is really, really pushing it at $1500. Take a look on Ebay. Even AA50 can be had $250-$500.

      @toblerone77:

      Totally get where you’re at Hobbes. I’m just sayin that as far as bang for the buck a first edition 1942 outshines 1941 hands down and at less cost. I have all three games anyway plus two copies of Spring 1942. Its just an observation I made after purchase.

      Spring 42 1st Ed. is one of the best A&A games IMO since I rather play the smaller games. My main gripe with it is really the map design, specially in Europe. If it’s cheap than 1941 take it. Specially if you’re a piece fanatic ;)

      Agreed - there’s really no advantage to having a bunch of units compared to keeping the IPCs to produce those units.

      And in general there’s no advantage keeping IPCs, unless you want to build a surprise super-navy or something.

      Sorry Jennifer but i have to agree with BUBA.

      First you will find the best AAA Player there, much better in the mean , then the club only players like in the DAAK or elswhere.

      Secound , sync probs are very rare but even if a game chrashes , you have an Autosave. I sometimes  watch tv on my Pc or listen to the radio on my pc  beside my games and i never had any big issues with triplea.

      Third , of course you can let your firewall be active, triplea works good with hard and software firewalls, just forward port 3300 (or any port other you wanna use) and you will be fine .
