      Thanks.  Also I should have mentioned up front, just to give you a heads up so you know what to expect on my posting frequency: I work Monday to Friday (business hours Pacific time) and if things aren’t too crazy, I can normally get one post in per day after work.  On weekends I can often do multiple posts in a day.  I’ll rarely go more than 3 days without a post, but sometimes work gets crazy and I won’t be able to post for a couple/few days.  I’ll let you know when that happens.

      I know what it’s like to be impatiently refreshing the screen because you want your opponent to move, so as a courtesy I thought I’d just let you know what to expect.

      GG indeed, a real epic one where I had to be on my toes.  This one sucked a lot of hours out of me…

      At some stage I’d be up for a rematch, but I’m trying to limit my A&A to just one game at a time (in order to maintain a real life) and I’m just starting one with someone else at the moment, so I’ll come back to you when I free up again.

      Just realized I probably did a slightly wrong order of loss for the Japanese on that huge battle.  Before the last round I should have left you with 4 planes instead of 2 planes and 2 battleships so that you would be guaranteed to strike back (since subs can’t hit planes).  Considering you would have got 2 more shots off with 2 more planes (since I sunk your battleships with my subs which couldn’t fire back), happy to remove one more US destroyer to make up for this.

      I was actually half expecting you to go for the “hail mary” play with Japan of invading Hawaii with your 4 infantry (plus planes) last turn.  You only had a 20% chance of taking Hawaii, but if you would have pulled it off (plus attacked with max force on the Russians in Anwhe which you had a 50%+ chance of winning, so that I couldn’t grab a victory city in Kiangsu) you would have won the game since there’s no way I could have retaken a Pacific victory city the following round.

      Not sure how you feel about continuing after this… obviously I don’t want to speak for you, but it might be difficult to come back now that I’ve crippled Japan.

      Just wondering what your availability is like over the next couple of days for making moves?  I’m relatively open and would like to press on, but obviously if you’re tied up or have other stuff to do then I respect that… just more for planning purposes than anything.  I’ll be in and out of the house but can probably get in at least 2-3 moves per day.

      Yeah I figured you didn’t see that by taking Gibraltar with the US I could both open up the straits for UK ships plus give my UK planes a landing spot, and that I could land UK land troops in Algeria.  Sad to lose my foothold in mainland Europe but well worth it for the opportunity to take out the entire Italian navy and air force.
