    • RE: New A & A game, what would you make it like?

Ummm… how would you have a rematch of WWI if the Central powers won it?

About the game, I’ll wait to ask my brother when he gets back from the South. He use to play something just like it.

Actually it was Kesselring that pulled many blunders too. Though many will remember him for the staunch defense of Italy against the Allies, he was marred by two critical incidents.

During the Battle of Britian, he was instrumental in Hermann Goring’s decision to change Luftwaffe tactics from direct pressure on RAF Fighter Command to bombing Britain’s cities. This led to the ultimate loss of the Battle of Britain.

The second was when Resistance members detonated a bomb in Rome killing 32 German soldiers. In retaliation, Hitler demanded that all able-bodied men in Italian capital be transported to prison camps. Kesselring instead had 335 citizens of Rome rounded up and shot at nearby Grotto Via Ardeantina. Kesselring worse then Hitler?

I always liked Aldolf Galland. Youngest Inspector of Fighters General in history. What a sweetheart ace.

It seems like a little too much micro-management for me. I think there’s already a game like this on computer. I’m just content with Axis and Allies Diplomacy Style.

Malta was the only time where George’s Cross had been given to a whole country during WWII. The Knights of Malta also defended themselves heroically against the Turks.

When playing against everybody else, choose England. Don’t attack anybody and be sure to be extra nice to people like giving others players some of your money. Hopefully the others will take pitty on you and leave you alone.

You can never count out humble little Malta. They have the bravest knights.

Europe has had its tie in the spot light. Now it’s Asia’s turn. I don’t see why not since Asia is the largest continent in the world, the most populous, and the most educated. Of course I still like good old USA.

    • RE: IC in a formerly neutral country

You can take over neutral countries in this game? How does this happen? Can I benefit by doing so?

    • RE: Complex in India for Britain

How does Germany do this? From what I can see, Germany can only reach India through the Suez Canal. But doesn’t this require Germany to take Persia on the first turn? I think that a factory in India for Britain is a great idea.

    • RE: Coolest Army Get-up

Well in California, we have World WWII battles using “paintball guns” all the time. Last time I heard, there was a small scale D-Day invasion. The Germans ended up winning.

    • RE: Why did the USA enter WW1?

I don’t think France or at least Paris could’ve held out any longer after Germany defeated Russia. I read that the Germans were within 40 miles of Paris in late May 1918 before the “Yanks” came.

Actually I heard that Erwin was to link up with Army Group South in Southern Russia after crossing the Suez Canal.
