been out of the game for a while and just picked up 2nd edish a few weeks ago.  Trying to get up to speed on the new AAA and AA units and rules.  Do the AAA’s still fire at planes flying through a zone moving to a the next or is it only if your attacking that space and the units?

Thanks Gamer, that’s what I thought, just read a little funny to me from the rule book.

Been away from the game for some time and just recently bought the second editions.  Convoy Disruption Question:  Am I reading this right? The rule book states, “The sea zone must be adjacent to one or more of YOUR controlled territories.” Is this in the pretense of me being attacked or myself the aggressor, because why would you disrupt a convoy adjacent to your own territory? Just reads unassumingly. Also, “At least one warship belonging to a power you are at war with must be in the sea zone.” Can you no longer disrupt convoy sea zones that are devoid of enemy ships? Also if there were enemy ships in the convoy wouldn’t a battle engagement precede the convoy disruption?

Been on hiatus from this site but glad to be back, rough one to swallow as a hardcore blackhawks fan last night, but I can’t be too critical with all the success so far.  Go BlackHawks!

I know a win is a win, but the thought that Indy dropped a very catchable ball to give us a win still leaves me a bit sour inside.  We did not deserve to win that game.  4 trips inside their ten and we come away with only 3 field goals?

I am seeing Michigan taking down Wisconsin in two weeks.  Denard is still putting up insane numbers, Penn State’s offense is down, but their defense ain’t and D-Rob still put up absurd numbers.  Mich St. will falter after watching them this weekend, they have not had a dominate performace against an FBS team this year, any given Saturday they could lose.  I am going to hold my breath till OSU, Indiana and NW have always been thorns in our sides, spread offenses always give us fits because we rarely ever run a Nickel or Dime set.

If we somehow can win a close game against MSU, there will be a shake up in the BigTen this week and OSU will be looking back in.  That means one slip by Wiscy,and OSU goes to the Rose Bowl per higher BCS ranking.  Yeah bad coaching all togethor cost us this game.  We had them dead to rights with 8 minutes left 4th and 4 on their 26, and they ran a fake punt that everyone in the building saw coming except the Iowa coaching staff.  They went on to score to take a 1 point advantage.  Special teams gave up a PAT and a FG to add isnult to injury early on.  And when we were driving to make the game winning field goal, we qb sneaked a first down and DID NOT SPIKE THE BALL BUT CALLED A TO!  WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?  I don’t say this often but we were out coached in a game that was ours for the taking.

Oregon is at home, so I have a feeling its going to be a thrashing in Autzen stadium.  Oregon takes UCLA 42-17.

I agree, there just doesn’t seem to be a leader on either side of the ball that has a “killer instinct.”  Nothing like a Ray Lewis or Drew Brees.

We have had some injuries at RB.  But Adam Robinson has been pretty productive this season.  If Jewel Hampton was still healthy, our rush offense would be pretty fearsome having two solid backs.  But I believe we will still run the ball effective enough to get the win.  Ricky has eliminated alot of the mistakes he had a season ago and he is 3rd in the nation in QB rating.  Outside of Indiana, I think we have the best WR combo in the bigten.  Luckily we have Sparty, Bucky, and Brutus all at home.  That OSU vs. Iowa match-up in November should be the BigTen decider like it was last season.

I need Ohio State and Sparty to come into Kinnick undeafeted in order for the Hawkeyes to juice up their computer rankings for a solid BCS bid.  Granted if the hawks win those games and finish 11-1.  If we do finish 11-1 I will be extremely bitter with that los in the desert that we came up with.  We completely imploded on special teams and handed them a victory.

If the Battleship fleet at Taranto survives, shore up the MED and seal the suez.  I usually have Italy take Bulgaria and Greece.  I also do a pass at Yugo with Germany and let Italy take that her turn as well.  2 mech and 2 tanks head to Romania and Crimea to "can-open: gaps for Germany to storm in with tanks and mech.  If you can seal around past syria and into the caucases to out flank the Russians, this adds the pressure and spreads the russian defences out a bit. I try and take as much of africa as I can, but try not to spnd too much time running around down there.  My goal is usually to just take out the UofSA complex and call it a day.  After you secure Egypt, try and buy another tranny before round 3.  From the suez and Egypt, just bypass Sudan, somalia, etc and head straight for that complex.  Granted, this is IF your battleship fleet survives round one.  If it doens’t Italy is tough sledding.

I have the the complete box set with Jerry’s fridge.  My favorite minor character is far and away Conrad the carpenter that remodels Jerry’s kithchen.  “Conrad , Connie, or Con which ever you prefer.”

Real nervous about my Hawkeyes out in the desert.  last few trips out to the state of Arizona have been nightmares.
