It all depends if you feel the Cairo VC counts towards the cities you need for victory in your plan. I personally would go straight after Paris, Berlin, and Warsaw. Germany will need Italy’s help to stay afloat after that first round snafu. Only need 2 of the three Russian Vc’s, London, Wash, and Ottawa are locks given the current situation.

I’m not so certain myself if Cairo is even necessary at the moment. Germany’s huge blunder from the first round should have Russia thinking offensively as soon as they get the green light. Russia should take Warsaw, western allies converge on Paris. Joint strike on Berlin should be game over. Paris, Berlin, and Warsaw win the game. Italy will have to help Germany stay in the game since they took the cap money from France.

96 and 97 are many times the standard attack and many people leave 95. A lot of the abbreviation are listed on another thread, just search abbreviations it should come up with a thread.

Haven’t had my global board out in awhile so I could not remember if N Italy boarded Paris or not, so you’re right, scratch the allied defense in Paris. Since it seems Italy will be grabbing the money from France it’s now essential to hit SZ 97. Don’t waste time with Norway factory just prep and land in France, that’s what I would do IMHO. Create a battle of attrition and bring attention there, Russia is lost for Germany.

If Paris is still not taken one option is to reinforce it with all available allied air that can reach to defend against Italy. Can’t think at the top of my head what can reach from northern Italy, but if held France can purchase and place 5 inf/1 art on their turn.

Reinforce SZ 10/11 fleets with carrier and land fighters. Purchase transports as well. You can still attack Italian fleet by sending the uk bomber and all available in the med. round 2 you should be able to put pressure in France quick. He has no sealion threat, or money from France. Should be real difficult for Germany, sounds like a disaster.

Be careful when you strafe, too overwhelming of a force may have you taking a territory you had no intention of liberating.

I usually keep a QRF by western USA depending on what Japan has in SZ 6. Usually consists of a Carrier loaded and an assortment of subs and dd’s. Protection to react to Hawaii or Alaska/Aleautians.

I didn’t say anything about hoisting a cup, but they may be weeks ahead of anyone else in clinching a spot in the playoffs.

How do people approach this on the Iti side?  Scramble the fighters? Or wait and return force on Iti’s turn with fighters, bomber and seazone 95 fleet?
