How much does it cost to upgrade a minor to a major complex
To upgrade a minor complex to a major one, you’ll have to pay 20 IPC.
So to give you a complete overview:
minor complex: 12 IPC
major complex: 30 IPC
upgrade minor to major complex: 20 IPC

Seems I have to settle for HBG chips if I want to expand my collection.
As I just recently started playing Global 1940, I’m not (yet) playing with any house rules.
Having said that it would be great if your card deck would contain the OOB rules and maybe some often played house rules. As long as they are seperate cards that can be added or exchanged when wanted.

Just recently I discovered the great Global 1940 game of AA after not playing Classic and Revised for many years. I look to get more of the same chips from the Europe / Pacific 1940 2nd editions or extend my collection of AA games when the chips are the same size.
Unfortunately I do read a lot about different chips in each edition of AA, but I could not find a clear overview of which games have compatible chips and which don’t. Can someone please enlighten me in this dark chip terror :lol:

That’s impressive! Your minor factory looks like a real factory now. I would consider to do a complete redesign of the major factory as well. This now looks a bit more like a ‘toy’ compared to the other more realistic models.
I love the idea of 3d pieces to replace the cardboard tokens. I like your airfield, naval base (first design with two docks) and major factor. I’m okay with the minor factory although to me the dimensions don’t really work when you remove one ‘roof triangle’.
Your second option for the naval base (the crane) got me confused. It seems not to resemble what you want to depict in the first place. Might be just me.
That is interesting news! I thought AH was done with the AA franchise. Hopefully these new releases will workout positive and they might consider a new AA game :-)
After our first game of AA Global a week ago, I decided I want to have a slightly bigger map consisting of one piece and no folds. Hence, I found this thread and the great scan of the original boards.
But I did notice the scans are from a well used copy of the game as the file shows scratches and stains and some borders seem to miss align due to stitching the different scans together to one large map.
I’ve started to go over the full map in detail and restore those ‘battle scars’ which is very time consuming but rewarding. I do however wonder if the original files are still around and could be shared. This will speed up my process of cleaning the map and the quality might be better than starting from the jpeg. As jpeg is a lossy format unfortunately so some details are gone and I’m facing some so called jpeg artifacts during my restoration work.
And off course I’m more than happy to share the results with the community, but with my current post count I’m not able to post some wip pictures for your reference.
I’m surprised that this forum doesn’t seem to have an active moderators. As I’m new to the forum I do not know who might be suitable or not, but I want to vote for active mods to do the occasional cleanup.
This looks really fantastic! I’m new to the game and after one game with my gaming group we decided to enhance the experience. I’m currently looking into getting a big map printed, but this deck of cards would be a great addition. Especially the setup cards and NO’s come in very handy.

Looking impressive! Where did you get your flight stands for the Soviet Airforce? I like the small footprint of these stands.
Being new on this forum (this actually being my first post), I really like the rich content and customizations out there. I do feel the list of sticky threads is long, but we should definitely have this content easily accessible in the future.
I do like the idea of one sticky master thread containing only one post that is edited by an admin to add new content that is worth highlighting to the community. Preferably in an organised way with categories like:
maps
tables
painted miniatures
reference sheets
…
