Yes!! Finally managed to finish the European Theater of the map. Just for you all to get a feeling of how big this rework is to fix all the dust particles, scratches, fold creases and scan line - I’ve added a picture that shows all the changes to the original map.
The results are very satisfying and I cannot wait to finish the Pacific theather and get this clean map printed.

These are my own setup charts. Artwork in line with OOB front, but the way the setup is represented is different. It uses numbers in a table layout instead of the text heavy format of the OOB fronts.

Thank you for your interest. I’ve finished the 1914 map, but haven’t had much time to work on the AAZ map. I’ve managed to retouch about 20% of the folds I guess, but don’t know when I have more time at hand to finish the work.

Any chance when you’re done updating the changes to the AA50 map you can pop out a 2nd version with optional corrected roundels for Germany and Italy? It always bothered me they removed the historical emblems those countries used for more PC ones
Please know that the German roundel is the correct one from an airplane roundel perspective. If you want to display the flag of Germany during the war you’re right about the change.
As mentioned in one of my earlier posts I will create a version with the correct Italian roundel (the black and white one), but personally I don’t feel much for adding the German flag on the board. Simply because in my opinion the symbol should be left in the past. Furthermore it’s the flag and in my opinion you should change the other nations to their flags as well and it’s easy enough to add to my map file yourself.
BTW I’m not from Germany, but the Netherlands is next to it. :lol:

The discs where custom cut at a local laser cutting company in the Netherlands (www.laserbeest.nl)
I just used regular photo paper in my home printer to print the artwork you can find in my original post. These where subsequently punched from this sheet of paper. This wasn’t as easy to get right. So I printed some extra sheets to replace the ones that were a bit off center.

haha dude I feel your pain. The look on my four year old’s face when she opened the door and saw Anniversary setup on the floor… I had a subsequent week or so of “Let’s play axis and allies” requests every morning and evening. I gave her the 1941 board and some '41 bits to play with. :)
Luckily we play in the attic were my 4 and 2 year olds cannot get to without help, but they do want to watch what we’re doing. And besides they know there is candy up there. :grinning:
@P-Unit I have actually finalised the file today. Only thing left to do is to generate the different versions and upload them. So watch this space the coming days.

I’ve finished creating all the setup charts for both Global 1940 and 1942. See the first message for the ZIP file containing all files. This does include setup charts for the Neutral powers as well.

@LevHunter and @8thGuards with some help of @Quirky-Turtle I’ve also corrected a few minor 1942 setups errors. I’ve update the first post of this thread with a new file that now also includes charts for the original territory names of Russia and China in case you are not using my custom map.

I would definitely say yes! If it wasn’t for the fact I already have flight stands (3 heights for the 3 different planes) I would certainly be getting some.
