@vodot I made a fully custom map using the changes I used from this thread. I made it using Inkarnate/Gimp.
UPDATE 11/22/25 added VC and some shadows to make text more readable.

@vodot Fixed, thank you! I used the web app inkarnate which is a D&D map maker tool which is incredibly useful for that purpose and others. I can import “stamps” so I imported the aa50 map to trace the landmasses and borders. The tool has lots of built in map making features so I didn’t have to do much for that just selecting settings/painting. I exported the finished map and added the text and roundels in gimp. Inkarnate is sweet for map making and I used it to make the Battle Deck cards as well.
Just realized I totally forgot capitals LOL.

@FranceNeedsMorePower thank you!! Glad you like them! you can have a print shop make it for you. I had a map printed on .040 styrene that turned out sweet from a company called smartpress. 150cm by 78cm only
Cost 75 bucks. I can send you the full file if you’d like -

@Titus I’ve just sent out this file to be printed a bit larger than OOB. I made it using Tojak’s map as a template. Do you have any advice on uploading images that look good despite the dimension limits on this site?

RE: House Rules Compilation & Discussion: Oil!posted in House Rules
@TitusJames I just looked through the first post in this thread and it looks like my rules are strikingly similar to another poster here https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/23944. I just read the post and found how similar our lines of thought were from 11 years ago!

Custom Magnetic IPC & Tech Tracker Boardposted in Customizations
Hey folks,
This is my first post to the site and I’ve recently started my customization journey with AA50. My best customization yet is this magnetic tracker board set. The roundels are 3d printed by my design with press fit magnets. The boards are just common steel sheets with a label applied that I designed. The bases are another self designed base for angling the sheets and storing the extra roundels.Let me know what you think!

RE: House Rules Compilation & Discussion: Oil!posted in House Rules
New rules!
I have drummed up some new oil rules for AA50. I’ve attached some photos of an in progress round 11 game to show the stark difference in the amount of troops on the board. I find the game is more fun with more peices but thats a hard task to accomplish. The Oil rules here seem moderatly balanced but I haven’t been able to play test them heavily yet. I did model the game peices myself as well and would be happy to share the files if anyone wants them. The basic concept is locations on the map start with oil production facilites. If you man them they produce oil which can be converted to money at IC’s at the start of your turn. The current setup allows for up to 88 more IPC’s per round which makes a huge difference.

@Pvt_Griff the metal prints are just full sheet labels I printed and laminated then applied to sheet metal. I designed the magnetic roundels myself to fit 6x2 mm magnets.

@vodot I think the AA50 map is already at its limit for territories mostly. Too much more and it might as well be g40

@CentralCommando
The NO’s need to be achived just by the overall axis or allies team not the idividualy nation. If Italy captures India then Japan still gets the NO -

RE: Magnetic Bombersposted in Customizations
@Wolz9122 I used 3x1mm for all of my planes and a 3x2 on all of the flight stands. I didn’t find them too big.
