      you’d think they’d be intelligent enough to realise that if they released a little info, maybe a picture or two (apart from the box cover) then they’d drum up a little excitement and interest in the thing. right now it’s just us gossiping like old women  :x

    • RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread

      if FMG’s goal is to replace all of the original pieces for better quality ones, then the new molds should be based on common tanks, planes, etc from each nation. if it’s to build upon, then new molds different from the originals would obviously be the key

      so is the goal to replace, or to add?

      personally i like the 88mm flak piece for german arty. i mean, it was used in this role  :-P

      BUT, if most people want a change, then stick with the iconic and make it a pak 40

    • RE: Comparison/Contrast

      it’s true that Germany came close to possibily knocking the UK out of the war, but no one knows for sure. and i highly doubt that the US would simply sit back and watch a nation it has invested large amounts of equipment in (lend-lease agreement, which also supplied other allied nations). they didn’t trade this for military bases they would never utilise after all  :wink:

      obviously it makes sense now that the Germans should have dealt with UK first (if they could), as Churchill was never going to give in to German demands while he held the reigns. the problem lays with the Soviet Union though. treaties were signed, and negotiations were even initiated to bring the Soviets into the axis pact, so any number of events could have occured differently to change the over-all process of the war

      maybe we should look at one ‘what if’ at a time? you could look at Germany preparing her economy for war much earlier on, or what would have happened if the Luftwaffe never switched to bombing cities over airfields and industry?

      @Frontovik:

      just a sec
      if i get it right, japanese get to fly through 2 flaks?(india and caucasus)
      lol, gl with that

      aa is no longer ‘always active’. so you can fly over any enemy aa, on your way to another destination, without getting fired upon

    • RE: Is there somewhere you can buy more plastic pieces?

      christ, if the guy can open an AA50 and rifle around for all the pieces he needs AND THEN get away with them, all the while not being noticed by a store clerk or reported by a ‘paying’ customer, then good for him  :lol:

    • RE: How to hold off UK?

      i fought against a UK player who was so determined to SBR Germany (myself) and maintain its fleet (additional units every turn) that i managed to pull off a sealion with only one transport, and all of my luftwaffe (multiple bombers and many fighters)

      UK falling before Russia is always ammusing  :-D
