      I will, that’s about the only way to expand Europe and Med!  Coach and I are trying to perfect a Global map that looks as proportional as possible while still staying playable, without being crowded. We have some other suprises also!

      I make them from a map file and just fill it in !  It takes alot of time and research to make sure all the zones are the right size. You rules have to be compatable with the map also….I got another game commin out soon, invasion of Italy…a sneek peek of this map is on this forum somewhere!

      We had complaints about the territories being too small on the 36x72 map. I’ve been working on a revised version that should give the territories more room. especially in Europe and the Med. The US will be smaller, but the map will still have same territories and sea zones.

      before I made the 39 map I used the world at war rules with the AAglobal map. It took a little work to adapt the rules to the map , but it worked really good. I used minors and neutrals also. Although it was still a 1940 game. Take the rules for my 39 game and try them on the global map. Right now I have too many projects going on and would have to stop and make another map, wish I could help. To be honest the 39 global game isn’t that much longer to play than the AA global game, 2 turns maybe. You should try it!

      @supermestizo:

      Hi

      Is there any chance you guys will make a smaller 1939 map?, same size as A&A Global?
      This map is great, but it is just to big for many A&A players, and it does take to long time to play, and it is to many territories. I really would like a 1939 map same size as Global fewer territories.

      Any game that starts in 1939 is going to take longer to play. The 39 game starts two turns before the global 40 game. If you want a 39 game that has isn’t broken up as much try xeno games world at war. It is a good game.

      @hape:

      Yep, the new version of the setup charts is much better! Thanks a lot!

      Another few questions…

      1.Naval bases.
      1.1 Do naval fleets get the 1+ movement bonus in each sea zone adjacent to a territory with a harbor, i.e. Philippines base bonus for sz 92, 93, 107 or only 92?

      Only sz 92. It is seperate from the other sea zones.

      1.2 Do naval fleets get in sz 125 +2 movement?

      NO

      2. C.China has 0 IPC starting income, isn’t?

      Yes, They get 3 IPC’s per turn to spend. but start out with 0

      3.
      3.1 Is it possible for a transport to unload the two units in different areas? Is there a difference in combat and non-combat movement?

      A transport can load a unit, move, then load another unit….but once it off-loads one or both units it’s movement is over. Only time a transport can be used in combatis during an amphibious assault. They can also defend against aircraft attacks. If the sea zone the transport is in is connected to 2 different land territories, then it can unload a unit into 2 different territories as long as the transport doesn’t have to move.

      3.2 Are transports able to move after unloading the cargo? Is there a difference in combat and non-combat movement, too?

      NO, there is no difference between combat and non combat with unloading transports.

      4. Does Germany have to pay for a major IC in his minor allied countries, i.e. Romania 30 or 20 IPC?

      If Germany wants to place a Major IC in Romania, Germany would have to pay 30 IPC’s…Romania builds as if they have a minor IC, but this cannot be upgraded or used in any way by the Germans. If Germany or any other axis power wants to build units in a minor axis territory they will have to build an IC.

      @Sgt.:

      @Captain:

      one more question:

      lets say germany attacks France on G1 and they wait with paris until G2

      Then on F1 france move navy to a safe spot at the same zone as british navy.

      Then Germany takes paris and They roll a 1 on the dice. Then they are removed and replaced with German naval units?

      but then there would be German and British NAval at the same zone?
      would there be battle? or should the units just move to nearest german land zone?

      Yes, Germany will move vessel to nearest German territory or do battle.
      I’m pretty sure it would have to be the same rule for whenever naval units start their turn in a hostile sea zone. The player who starts their turn with units in a hostile sea zone can either engage in combat or move out of the zone (staying in the zone is not an option).

      @hape:

      @Tigerman77

      you said in your post:
      Q:Major IC

      • Can only be built on original owned TT’s, Destroyed when captured (Does it include Minors like Siam?)
        A:Minor axis and allied territories are included……Siam, Romania, Brazil.

      but in your rules:
      Minor Axis countries cannot increase their IPC production. Minor Axis produce units as if they have a minor industrial complex but cannot upgrade to a major complex
      Minor axis, not pro axis neutrals, can have IC’s built in their countries for either Germany or Japan. Following the IC rules for minor and major IC’s. Minor axis Include Finland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, and Siam.  The Allies minors are already in action, Canada, ANZAC, South Africa…Pro Allies neutrals can only be activated and use the army.

      I made a mistake of saying Brazil in the other post. I’m really allowing the axis to place IC’s in minor axis territories to help with game balance. I’ll clarify this in another rulebook revision.

      I think you have forgotten to change the rules, isn’t it?

      2.
      Are only the minor allies of Germany able to produce like a minor industrial complex withou having it and does it include Argentinia?
      Siam is able to produce 1 infantry, but could Japan build 2 more units in Siam?
      What’s up with the allied minor allies, i.e. Iran?
      Argentina can produce if they are activated by the Germans only. I’ll add this too. Siam can’t produce other than the 1 inf per turn, but Japan can put a major IC’ and produce.

      If the US activates Brazil while staying in peace, do they get the 4 IPC for each round or first when they enter war?
      Does the US still enter war, if they reach the 80 IPC with already activated Brazil or do they have to reach 84 IPC?
      I think 80 would make sense!
      I’m gonna add in the next rule revision that the US cannot activate any pro ally neutrals before they are at war

      Last but not least:
      Your chart format doesn’t fit the paper size in some cases.

      Yea, i’m still working on the charts….I was just trying to give out all the info so people could play.  I see I still need to work on rule clarification, thanks for the questions.

      Remember to look at your setup charts for units costs and attack and defense factors. Most are different, especially axis countries. Even the regular units are different for certain countries, Japanese armor, German subs, UK battleship. As you play the game please give me feedback on thesde changes

      @Captain:

      Hey, how come Germany has cheaper tanks than russia? is this important for the game you think or can it be played with equal prices for each unit? except special units

      It helps balance the game out IMO. Hopefully this will be evident as the game is played more and more.

      @cminke:

      how does poland play. i skimed the rules but found noting. do they act like any other neutel?
      also, who would play as them?

      UK will role for Poland. They are a typical neutral country but if for some reason they are not defeated in the first round they will join the allies and collect an income. I didn’t put anything in the rules for them because if Germany can’t take Poland on turn 1 the game will be over by turn 4 or 5 anyway! Thanks for the question, I will probably put this in my next revision.

    • RE: 1939 Map

      @hape:

      Great work!!!

      But a few questions:  :roll:

      1. The production limits:
      I count 49 IPC for Russia, not 48.
      I counted it up 8 times and still got 48!
      Japan gets 41 instead of 40
      yes, 41 is correct
      Commonwealth gets 35 rather than 33
      yes, 35 is correct
      Far East Command 21 instead of 23
      yes, 21 is correct
      Maybe i’m wrong, but i did it twice for each nation.

      2. Does C.China has its own starting IPC and production or do C.China and Russia share the warchest?
      C. China gets 3 IPC’s to spend per turn or save

      3. Can Russa purchase units for C.China?
      no

      4. Germany/Italy attacks Great Britain +20 IPC’s
      Is this valid for any attack against british troops or facilities (i.e. german submarines attack the royal navy or industrial bombing of London) or do Germany have to invade british island with ground troops?
      Any attack over or on Great Britain proper……ie…Scotland, Liverpool, London, and Belfast.

      5. Is it possible for the UK to attack Italy in the same game turn as Germany have taken Paris?
      Italy declares war on the allies at the start of their turn after Paris is taken. When this takes place the UK has already moved.

      6. I don’t have the AAG40 rules. Is this the right way to play with industrial complexes:
      Major IC

      • Placed on territory of 3+
      • Max 10 units
      • Max damage 20
      • Can only be built on original owned TT’s, Destroyed when captured (Does it include Minors like Siam?)
        Minor axis and allied territories are included……Siam, Romania, Brazil.

      Minor IC

      • Placed on territory of 2+
      • Max 3 units
      • Max damage 6
      • Upgrade to Major for 20 IPC
        yes

      7. How do you face the problem of logistics? Do units get doubled movement speed in the non combat phase? I thought to implement railroad like in xeno games Wordl at War.
      No extra moves on non combat, the map is layed out so you don;t have to add this. also with the use of the extra movement from naval bases and air bases movemnt is fine.

      8. Which regions are VC’s?
      Sorry, I will add these in the next revision comming soon.

      9. (first group) Greece, Yugoslavia, Iran, Liberia, Brazil, Siam and Argentinia don’t have a fixed income like (second group) Rumania, Bulgaria and Hungary.
      All Minors other than Finland, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Siam use IPC values on map for income only after being activated. Either the country can become an alliy or axis force or can become part of the army that entered and the territory.

      second group:
      get a fixed income which they have to spend in their own country and they produce an additional income (value on the map) for Germany. So overall Rumania would get 6+4=10 IPC to the income pool of the Axis, right?
      Germany would get 4 IPC’sper turn for romania and Romania will collect 6 IPC’s per turn for itself.

      first group:
      get no fixed income, so the Majors only get the income value on the map. There is no restriction to spend this money in these nations, right?
      All Pro axis and pro allied, and strict neutrals are froze until a major power activates them. Its up to the player entering the territory if the country starts collecting it’s IPC’s for military use or is absorbed into the major countries army.

      I surehope this answeres your questions. Revision of rules and now setup charts will be posted tomorrow night……Tuesday night.

      I posted a revision of the rules a week ago, I’m light of these new questions I will be posting another revision to clarify some of these rules.

      Yes, the allies liberate. But, the commintern, although allies they do not liberate.

      Now I see why you need a team to develope a game!  Lol

      Wonko….

      4. Clarify- yes, because Mongolia is neutral and commintern country can attack neutrals. If Japan holds a Russian territory then communist china would liberate that territory for Russia.

      Victory Cities- not every VC  is circular and not every circle is a VC. I made those to be more of a Major city, but not necessarily a VC. If I don’t have a list of VC posted in the rules I will do that ASAP!
