      @Gargantua:

      Even After I’ve removed every axis piece from the board, I keep playing.

      I start sending units to South America, to look for escaped war criminals, and hold nuremburg trials.

      I also start doing stupid things with the middle east, like carving out new nations, JUST because I can.

      It’s this whole new Axis and Allies Experience…

      Yah me too…… I have cold war, I go to korea and Vietman, I also head to the middle east to!

      Have you guys tried bombing ghaza with israel troops. Or have had fights in Africa where dictatorships get over thrown?

      Heck yeah!

      @TheWarNoob:

      So I get the overall concept of what I am supposed to do, but what about specific unit strategies. What I like to do is:

      G1 is buys 3 subs and a minor IC for Romania, and then move as many units as possible towards the Russia front, primarily in the south.

      After that I try to dedicate at least 47 IPCs each turn to Russia, in the form of 5 infantry and 5 artillery to be placed in Germany, and then 3 artillery or infantry in Romania. What ever I have left I try to use to defend the west.

      Once I take the factories in Ukraine and Novgorod, I build 3 tanks there every turn. I don’t ever bring Italians in Russia unless they do well in Africa and can come through Iraq.

      Is this a sound strategy, or do I need to change it somehow? Any critique is very much appreciated.

      With the new convoy disruption rules, it might be wise to purchase an aircraft carrier instead of submarines. Still buy the factory, but station fighters on the AC and move into seazone 109. This will be more effective, especially if you keep the battleship and cruiser alive.

      And to answer your question, a lot of people don’t do SeaLion b/cuz it’s not always a guaranteed thing. Depends on what the UK does. If the UK makes it as difficult as possible, then most likely the Germans can take it still but it might be a little dicey and leave them vulnerable to the Russians. If the UK makes it easier then the Germans will be more likely to do a SeaLion. I don’t think a successful SeaLion always means an Axis victory.

      @sargon:

      IS IT TRUE THAT IF JAPAN ATTACKS THE DEI’S ON TURN’S ONE OR TWO THE USA AUTOMATICALLY ENTERS THE WAR?

      IF SO, THEN IS NOT JAPAN’S BEST OPTION TO JUST BUILD TRANSPORTS AND NAVAL UNITS AND POSITION ITSELF UNTIL TURN 3 OR 4 BEFORE IT UNLAODS AGAINST DEI, UK, AND AMERICA?

      It is not true that the USA “automatically” enters the war.

      It is true that it ALLOWS the USA to declare war on the following US turn, which it WILL do in order to collect its income bonuses.  But it’s not automatic.

      Unless the UK or Anzac declared war on Japan first, or in case they moved a unit into china (which requires a declaration of war against Japan as well).

      As for best option, that depends ENTIRELY on the board conditions: If the UK leaves vital naval assets vulnerable or spreads itself thin, then, no, it might actually be better to attack early.  Also, J3 is really the last chance to declare war as the US will collect income on US3 regardless, so there’s usually absolutely no reason not to declare war on the US on J3 unless the US is positioning naval assets, depending on Japan to declare war on the US and therefore be blocked by US units.  Otherwise, J4 is usually too late.

      Buy Euro & pacific games. download the Alpha+2 rules and objectives and set ups,  play both OOB and the Alpha+2 using the global rules for the OOB and the Alpha+2 rules for the other set up. I think you’ll see the diff.
        I think the Alpha+2 is a better game and I like it the way it is
                    ENJOY
