@SuperbattleshipYamato US enters the war on turn 4- not turn 3. Also the game isn’t expected to end on turn 5 one turn after the US enters the war - that would be absolutely ridiculous! I greatly dislike calling each turn a full year because of this - it doesn’t make a single lick of sense gameplay wise.

RE: Is it best for Italy to stay Neutral?posted in Global War 1936
Definitely agree about the possibility of Italy staying neutral in real life, how the French and British didn’t want to go to war with Italy and how it makes sense in game to allow for it.
i assume its okay if Italy is somewhat boring if you are the German player and are benefiting from a “boring” Italy. but a boring Italy is better than a dead/surrendered one! Despite the benefits of neutrality I expect a person who is playing Italy and only Italy to play them aggressively.
I also agree that it was designed this way for a reason and that Italy is not meant to be forced into a losing war in this game, which i why I do not believe the rules regarding Italy should be changed or house ruled.

@chris_henry also with inexperienced players - even with a bit of experience yes it does seem like the game heavily favors the entente but with a bit of luck and or good play the CP can also be dominant with OOB rules. i’ve now lost 7 games i think playing as the entente against @Ragnell804 who was able to dominate me as the CP in each of those games. he only lost one against me when we played with low luck.

I will only post just the combat summary if there are scramble options or casualty pick order I think you might want to choose. -
RE: Italian neutralityposted in Global War 1936
@chris_henry it’s not a loophole though. If Italy stays neutral than yes, Japan and Germany can be the allies focus. Let’s say the allies focus on Japan (the easier foe to defeat) if Jaoan is knocked out that takes off 7 victory points from the axis table! Will the axis even have a chance at winning if this is the case, I highly doubt it!

So when it’s US/China/UK turn you inky need to post turn summary at end of UK since it automatically also posts US and China . Same for Anzac and France finish Anzac and France turn then post turn summary when done with France

@chris_henry Italy can’t tie up the allies, instead Italy will tie up German resources to help defend Italy, not good!

@Poptech im sorry but this is ridiculous and as the game has been out for over 10 years its quite obvious the official rules aren’t changing and naval bases and air bases are a part of the game. if you don’t like that then play with people who agree with you and only those people but leave the rest of us alone please - you wont convince anyone who doesn’t already agree with you. i also don’t agree with you and enjoy playing with harbours and airfields.

@chris_henry @chris_henry yea the Comintern is fun because you can play either side / stay neutral (potentially) . My highlight with the Comintern was hitting a neutral Romania in July ‘39 and then yugo the next turn and northern Italy and Rome in the subsequent turns!
