Thread NecrO!
Yes, I know, but I thought it better to reuse a thread instead of starting a new one with the same topic.
I’m just trying to see if any other A&A player on here also plays HeroScape.

I thought it was better to reply to an old topic instead of starting a new one:
Anyone else on these boards play Heroscape on a regular basis and/or is on the Heroscapers.com website? If you are and haven’t figured it out yet, I am MegaSilver from Heroscapers.
Cool.
I’m thinking of doing something like this when I get my Global Edition. I was going to do it with my 1941, but the suspense to play Global has left me to keep the area clear so I can set it up as soon as it arrives in the mail. :lol:
@P@nther:
…
- New setup, in a few territories it’s quite drastic.
…New setup for Global (other than latest Alpha) or for the theater games only?
Well since he is discussing the Global version, I would say he meant the Global setup.
@Cow:
ONE BOMBER, WHERE IS RUSSIA’S ONE BOMBER.
If it’s that important to you, just make it a house rule where Russia starts with one. :-P
I wonder how many changes have taken place…
I’d like to see the boards together, pre- and post-setup . (With set-up differences listed, from original and Alpha versions.)
Then rules differences.
I realize that several of you have bought a secondary A&A 1942 2nd Edition to obtain extra minis for use in your games. That would also mean you will have an extra board and rule book. I do not have the money to go out and buy a complete 2nd edition, (as I am saving up for Global 2nd edition ;)) but I would like to buy or trade for someone else’s board and rulebook if someone would like to.
I know that I am new to this site so some of you will be hesitant to sell or trade with me, which is understandable, but I am a well known person on the Heroscapers.com website under the username MegaSilver (with the same avatar). You can check over there if you wish.
Thanks.
So I HAVE seen you on the other site. I thought your Profile Pic looked familiar.
I do prefer Gametable’s accurate maps. Still hoping for 1940 to show on on there; maybe there will be a better chance with the 2nd edition coming out…
Just as a heads up, all A&A games on gametableonline.com are free of bugs and stuff now. That was just for beta testing to work out all those kinks. I play it all the time now on there. Subscription is cheap too: $4.00 a month for unlimited Play By E-mail of all games on the site.
So I’m guessing you enjoy the statistical side of the game? That’s one area of math I’m not good at. All other aspects of math I am very good at, but I just cannot wrap my head around odds and probabilities. But you need them to do good at this game. Which is probably why I have a 30% win rate. :lol: (Though I beat an Intermediate once, when he made a tactical error. Luckily I was able to notice it when I did.) (I am a lot better at HeroScape, with a 55% win rate. Best game ever in my opinion. Axis and Allies would probably be second. :-P)
I mostly like the combat aspect of A&A and how you can rewrite history. Which is especially why I want Global Edition; it starts you basically at the beginning of the war, and gives you a lot of of options. And a huge map to play on!
Well, I don’t play anything that’s listed in the poll. Obviously as pointed out earlier that this is outdated since it was made it 2006.
I play Axis and Allies 1942 1st Edition on Gametableonline, and I do have 1942 and 1941 boards for home games. (Though I don’t get to play very often.)
I cannot wait for Global 1940 2nd Edition to come out; when I do get it I’ll probably end up playing against myself just so I can play it immediately! :lol:
