      @Munck:

      @thenorthman:

      So just seems strange then for Elite Marines and SNFL Marines to ALSO have it stated in their specific build notes that only can build two of them per turn. Because its redundant if they were only able to have two built per turn in the first place.

      Yes, I agree. The manual and reference charts are full of these “written curiosities”, that scream at you after reading a sentence for the 43rd time. It happens to me too  :wink:

      I actually emailed them about this. Will seemed glad to have any suggestions, edits, etc. come his way, but maybe that’s just lip service!

      The scope of my email was to point out the large amount of continuity errors. By that I mean, have every single reference sheet/set up chart be identical in every way to others where the descriptions should be. One example was for infantry. Some reference sheets mention the 1:1 pairing with artillery, but others do not. Every one should have the exact same information!

      Same goes for your issue above. The repetitiveness of some rules in some areas and not others makes to confuse. I agree, reading that for SNLF and Marines would be largely confusing each time.

      I love everything they do here, but I wish they’d truly take a small break from all the expansions/units/other games, and really focus and getting the rule set here cleaned up 100%. Then they could just be done with it!

      Hi all,

      I have:
      HBG GW 36 Base Pieces
      2 Major Factories
      2 Minor Factories
      1 Factory
      3 TBD
      in Black, OD, Tan, Pumpkin Orange, Italian Brown, Russian Brown, and French.
      56 Pieces

      Looking for:
      HBG GW 36 Base Pieces
      3 Costal Submarines
      2 Costal Artillery Guns
      in Black, OD, Tan, Pumpkin Orange, Italian Brown, Russian Brown, and French.
      35 Pieces

      The above 8 pieces in each color (56 total) for return 5 in each color (35 total) with each paying the shipping of the units to each other.

      Id hate to purchase costal subs and costal guns in each color available then have to many of those too. LOL

      It is a tough problem for a great game with so many infantry versions
      I still haven’t committed to one idea over another yet, but for now regular infantry  and mountain infantry scuplts I like, so they get to go straight on the board.

      For militia I use the white Dutch infantry sculpt because they stand out, so that no-one should ever move them out of their territory.  I then painted their base to the colour of the nation they belong to.

      Not sure what to do with marines, elites, airbourne, blackshirts, volkstrum etc etc yet.

      I have the flat tokens for now but we find they keep getting overlooked a lot.

      If someone brings out a generic colour scheme that we can all use it would make videos easier to see whats going on.

      Something that can change hands should remain as a generic colour for all.  There’s enough stuff to do without having to swap out different coloured factories as well!

      Yes, you often can’t have it both ways.

      Take the Japanese for example, upgrading your Infantry to Motorized makes perfect sense in China. But besides loosing the ability to pair with Artillery for attack, you also loose the ability to transport them on your destroyers.

      @sjelso:

      Here is what I did with magnets (some videos).  Had my board printed on steel.  Has worked well.  I think I will might do flags instead of the chips/tokens.  I kinda went overboard but once I began…well…

      It makes playing easier, no chips to deal with.

      That exactly what I ended up doing for my aircraft. With the longer magnets.

      Well looks like it’s back to $69.99. Anyone able to get a copy at the $54.99?

      I grabbed two….gave one away as a Christmas present to neighbor kid earlier this past year so wanted to have another copy on hand.

      @sjelso:

      Don’t want to be a broken record but wish HBG would open source the map so others could work on it too.  Lots of good ideas out there and some people with great Photoshop skills (i.e Sireblood/etc.).  HBG could still print them or perhaps offer one-time use licensing if one wants to print elsewhere (hard to get and control a copyright though, I understand).  Allows people to print different sizes too and on different materials.

      My 2 cents.

      Your 2 cents is VERY valuable.
      I’d like a elec copy to print a mini version so we can refer to it when planning, discussing moves with teammates.  It’s so hard to see borders, values etc once the game is underway and there are pieces everywhere.  Maybe a black n white version so we can just get something to refer to……

      No harm at all. I was just mentioning that they were the same ones. It’s easy to forget that the green pieces in the game aren’t actually the Americans, but rather the Allies who have retreated back to North America after losing WW2. I didn’t realize until you had posted your link that the Meteor was actually a British fighter.

      The only time an aircraft is EVER going to get “trapped” on a carrier, is if you use a carrier on your own turn that has a multinational fighter on it and you have attacked with that carrier, and taken a hit on it.

      So basically, this “can’t” happen to you, unless you go out of your way to make it happen, during an attack.  It may make sense to do this, is some certain bizare scenario’s.  But Don’t be worrying yourself about it.

      Now that said, once the carrier is tipped, the aircraft trapped on it cannot be used at all, until that carrier is repaired.

      The more real likely hood, is, that if you are not careful, you may, wish to take fgt’s as hits as oppossed to tip your carrier, in attacks or defense, so that your aircraft will have a friendly place to land, if the carrier is totally at sea, with no island or territories in or adjacent to the sea zone, and no other possible carriers in range, to pick up the aircraft.
