    • RE: Choose your Leader

I agree Genghis Khan united Mongolia and was a superb leader. Napoleon and his hero Alexander the great are also strong contenders. But i would have to say that Attila the Hun would be my favourite leader a man who could be the thorn in the the side of the great Roman empire must be a great leader.

    • RE: Revised Global 1940: Rules of Neutrality

This would probably end the allies use for spain so i think it shoul be strict neutral otherwise it will just be anothe rpart of the Atlantic Wall.

This also simplifies the G3 Strict neutral crush see: http://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=20028.0

    • RE: Japan strategy

Japan should try and protect itself  if it takes Hawai. The british will send big attacks from india into Japanese controlled Chinese territories trying to create a pathway between shanghai and india.

KAF could be a viable strategy if you don’t do pearl harbour but it allows Britain the major threat to build an army and make India hard to take if Britain build a lot of infantry. KUKF would be more viable and then just pick the ANZAC’s of at you leisure. Maybe preform pearl harbour a little later as the US will look to attack the European Axis’ weak underbelly Italy and you can attempt to make them draw there forces back to the pacific by taking Hawai and threating San Fransisco maybe making Sea Lion more viable as the U.S might not want to risk lossing their territories attempting to liberate the UK. This also means that the Germans don’t have to be as worried about becoming a turtle and can attack the SU.

    • Couple of questions

If Japan takes control of Chinese territories if another Ally liberates that territory does China regain control of it? What about Shanghai if the allies liberate it?

Also can you attack from Africa to Gilbartar through the strait and other straits?

    • RE: Thunda down under A&A game map

Re-formed some territories plus added sea zones.

Next up Ipc values and power placements will wait for a little while for extra power suggestions.

      Powers

      Australia

      Pros
Act as a USA like power in global, strong economically

      Cons
To strong and very hard to kill

      New Zealand

      Pros
Good size for a 30ish territory games (9 territories)

      Cons
      Split between to islands

      West Aus/East Aus

      Pros
two powers, Good size around 10 territories each

      Cons
      very fast internal fighting

      North,south NZ

      Pros
troops won’t be split into two forces

      Cons
To small to be a problem for a larger power

      Fiji(Maybe)

      pros
      Extra power means more territories

      cons
Small, only 1 possible VC, to easy to kill

Fix the Fiji problem by giving them more islands in the pacific.

      Japan(Probably not)

      Pros

      Extra power

      Cons

WWII ideas, no island home have to start in Aus, No capital

This is a game you should probably have set up always maybe in a spare room so you don’t waste time setting up and cleaning up everytime just sit down and play and then re set it?

      @hewhoisnickel:

FOUR people voted France? Weird. I mean, France would be my favourite if they weren’t doomed to be useless by their first turn. I mean, the colonial infantry and the sparse ships could win a battle or two, but nothing beyond that.

Now 7 people have voted for France maybe these are people who always play as Germany? They probably like it 'cause its a walkover

    • RE: Thunda down under A&A game map

I’m going to add in some parts of desserts and make it impassable. Also I am planning on re-modelling some of the territories.

Quick question for anyone who is interested would you like Fiji as a playable power? If so please post soon as once the territories are done i will begin play testing.

      Extra powers welcome

No Japan suggestions because i’m playing on trying to remove the WWII idea.

      Thanks

      @calvinhobbesliker:

No, it won’t affect UK either. However, a DOW on UK allows US to DW on japan and Germany and Italy

I thought that a dow on UK doesn’t affect US so it can’t DW any Axis unless an axis power has DW on US

I haven’t played G 40 yet but my Fav country will probbably be the U.S.S.R as always because I like their tanks. My order will probably be:

      U.S.S.R
      Germany
      Italy
      Japan
      U.S
      U.K
      ANZAC

Jap BS should be extra strong in ATT and Def because they were the best BS in the war.

    • RE: Global '40 Medals

      Yeah like reward cards.

For a game where everyone plays each power you could give the player with the best att and best def points a prize or they could get extra units at the start of your next game.

      I.E.

      Random guy 1

      SU: 53 ATT points
      FRA: 7 ATT points
      Ger: 123 ATT points
      …
      Total att points: x

      Next game gets extra units
