The first Global 1943 game in the 2021/2022 Axis & Allies Gaming Season.
Allied economic victory in Late 1945.
@barnee
A Strategy Guide for OOB Global 1940 combined with Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion is under construction now.
It’ll initially be based on German strategies - and as much as time allows, Soviet Union, Japan, United States and United Kingdom will follow.
Hopefully, by the end of 2021, the complete Strategy Guide is available to players.
China, Italy, France and ANZAC are not included at this point. We haven’t yet decided if they ever will.

Thanks,
Remember, the Strategy Guide is an example of how strategies could look like.
Army Group Center requires two Armies - and another 10 landbased combat units. The amount of IPC required to create that Army Group is enormous.
With 3 complete Army Groups, you would have at least 56-60 landbased combat units tied up.
Then again - I always favor 3 Army Groups - plus 1 independent Waffen-SS Army to serve as Fire Corps.
Yes, the Med. is controlled by U-Boats - supported by Luftwaffe operating from bases in S. Italy and France.
The IC in S. France serve as a German U-boat base.
True - Infantry is much needed. And yes, naturally an Elite Infantry each round is needed as well.
During an attack, Elite infantry should be supported by artillery, in order to get that extra dice roll at “2”.
In the Western Europe sphere a Waffen-SS Army to serve as a Fire Corps is a brilliant idea.
Yes - you’ll need 4 land based units (3 Mechanized Infantry from Western Germany and 1 Panzer from Greater Southern Germany) + 1 Fighter unit (from Slovakia/Hungary) in Southern France.
Normandy/Bordeaux is conquered by 2 Infantry and 2 Artillery from Holland/Belgium.
Remember: if France is recaptured by UK Paratroopers, France will collect income - and German troops will once again conquer France on the following turn - and claim that income.
In other words: the UK player should think twice about liberating Paris.…
Strategy Guide for the Soviet Union is now available.

An Army Group consists of (at least) two Armies - plus 10 landbased combat units (some of these 10 landbased combat units could also be units from a third Army, since these units would count towards the total of 10 landbased combat units).
An Army Group gets a bonus dice roll with 2 dice at “4” during an attack - and “5” during defense - during each round of combat for as long as the Army Group is intact.
The 2-dice bonus rolls represent the cohesion of the units fighting together within the Army Group.
Within this Army Group, 1 of the Armies also have extra bonus dice rolls - which represents the cohesion of units within that Army.
Remember:
When multiple Armies from the same side or Nation occupy the same territory, only 1 Army can obtaion its ability to fight as an Army - and get the bonus dice rolls.
The units within other Armies in this territory - whether or not these Armies are part of an Army Group - must fight at their individual unit strength.
The Army Groups will get an extra section in the next update of the Rules Clarification.:+1:
Recently we’ve seen a growing interest in the Global 1943 House Rules Expansion.
Please note:
In order to play the Global 1943 version, players must be familiar with most rules - (but not necessarily everything from the start) - in the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion.
This is also briefly explained in the Global 1943 rulebook.
:+1: barnee answered your first question correctly. Thanks, barnee:relaxed: :right-facing_fist:
You can take damage hit on as many Aircraft Carriers as you want - before (if) any of your Battleships gets damaged.
Normally you would choose to take hits on your Battleships (and Heavy Battleships) before having more Aircraft Carriers damaged - simply because you want your Fighters to land on your Aircraft Carriers, since this would give you the strongest defense.
Naturally, if you have “empty” Aircraft Carriers - and no reserve Fighters to bring forward to meet up with your Aircraft Carriers, you might want to take hits on those empty Aircraft Carriers:+1:
This thread is part of the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion series.
In this thread players can post their Game Reports (including pictures).
Remember:
Game Reports in this thread must be based on:
Post your Game Report - and attach pictures (if any).
We recommend that the pictures in any Game Report should follow this procedure:
The second, third and fourth pictures must include the game board from its most southern part to the most northen part.
In this way, the entire game board is documented in an orderly, simple & systematic fashion.
Fell free to respectfully discuss and comment on Game Reports in this thread.
Enjoy & have fun.
During the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion game that started Thursday 27th January 2022 at 09.30 CET (Non-Stop Playing) - and ended Friday 28th January at 01.34 CET, we experienced a Once in a Lifetime Dice Roll.
Usually we don’t pay any attention to the outcome of dice rolls, since they are always random.
But in this case we simply had to register this specific dice roll described below.
In Late 1944 (round 10) Germany launches Operation Typhoon - the Battle of Moscow.
9 German Infantry Units opens up the Battle - and 9 dice are thrown.
Result: 9 Dice - each dice at “1”.
None of our members - or any other Axis & Allies player that we know of, has ever seen this before.
The complete game will be described in the Global 1940 Game Report Thread.

Axis player: The Captain

Hi Barnee,
You did a fantastic job:+1:
With both the TripleA version - and the Table Top version, players throughout the A&A Community now have unlimited access to
the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion - and will hopefully have tons of fun:grinning:
I’ll look deeper into it during this week. I have never played TripleA - so I need assistance from those of our members who play TripleA, in order to “get the big picture”.
I’ll be online almost every day, after work :relaxed:
Thanks, once again. Great Team Work:+1: :+1:
The Release Date for the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion is expected to be no later than 21st April 2021.
The Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion is designed to be used in conjunction with Axis & Allies Global 1940 (naturally) and is eligible to be play tested in conjunction with any equivalent Axis & Allies game.
More information will follow at the Release Date.

Thanks for your comment:+1:
The German Take Over Of Italy rule comes into play only when certain circumstances are fulfilled.
Those circumstances are certainly not in favor of The Axis since Africa is now cleared of German and Italien troops.
If any Italian Naval Units are still on the game board at the time of the Take Over they are confined to The Mediterranean Ocean.
When we started play testing the Take Over Scenario we did have some Allied components in these rules, such as some units would join The Allies and some would remain on the side of The Axis.
But it seemed that the rule was to complicated to handle during the heat of the battle - and obiously not “attractive” enough for The Axis - unless the rule was sufficiently advantageous for Germany.
So we came up with restrictions of placement of The Italian Navy and and an economic consequence for Germany. This rule was still faithfull to History - and easy to play with.
It made the difference - and from then on players started using the rule, as soon as things started to go wrong for The Axis in Africa.
Hopefully, you’ll experience this when you and your play group play with the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion.
I truly appreciate your feedback:+1:
It seems that you and your play group had fun - and challenge.
As you gradually get more in depth with the first 4 Sections you’ll most likely discover that your Overall Strategy needs carefull planning - especially during the first 3-4 rounds of play.
I’m looking forward to hear more.
Thanks, once again:+1:
Hi Barnee,
Good to hear from you again. Thanks for your comment:+1:
Please note:
A Waffen-SS Oberst-Gruppenführer unit can be supported by a Waffen-SS Artillery unit - as long as both these Waffen-SS units are not part of a Waffen-SS Army. This is because the Waffen-SS Oberst-Gruppenführer unit operates under Waffen-SS Infantry rules.
@barnee
That sounds great:+1:
I’ll see what I can do about the units for use with TripleA - checking if some of our test players knows anyone with skills on that matter.
When you start up a new thread, let me know. Otherwise we can communicate by e-mail, including sending files etc.
