      Subs defending at 2 seems like a game breaker to me.  At that price I couldn’t think of a reason for the US to buy anything else in the Pacific

      Well, you’d still want a few destroyers to potentially block and to kill Japanese subs. Otherwise, yeah, you’re right, 3-5 destroyers and as many subs as you could afford would be the way to go.

      Yes, you may move any number of AA units into Dutch territories as UK/ANZAC at any time. Whether or not you also send a non-AA unit to transfer ownership to the UK/ANZAC from the Netherlands is a different issue. You could move only the AA if you wished, but the infantry in your example is what is transferring ownership.

      And just in case you’re wondering, you can always move an AA unit into a pro-[your side] neutral territory so long as you also move a non-AA unit along with it to claim it.

      If you’re talking about taking an unclaimed Dutch territory as the Axis, then you likely are doing it from a transport, and the situation is slightly more complicated due to transport rules with combat/non-combat moves and stuff.

      While I am overjoyed you’re teaching your sons about A&A, I am terrified that you might also teach them “thru” is an acceptable form of “through”. It is not. Ever.

      I totally forgot to send planes in vs. the one british guy in Yunnan.

      So I rolled through the first round then retreated (no hits). I am going to roll dice manually now for the shit ton of planes that could have come in, then reroll all the infantry:

      My two bombers rolled a 4 and a 6, which is enough to kill your guy.
      Your guy shoots back with a 5, missing.

      I hope you trust me if it doesn’t show up in the dice emails.

      I remebered it was one naval bombing per transport and not per unit. So it would be better if I had scrambled just 1 fighter in order to avoid the three bombing dice. But now it’s too late.
      I think luck is always turning randomly so I’m expecting some better dice in the following turns  :wink:

      Actually, it was like 61% if you scrambled nothing, and 65% if you scrambled one fighter (you rolled one less fighter on defense, but you got three less bombards).

      I was hoping you scrambled 0, because if you scrambled 2, and got 1 or 2 hits, that set you up for the suicide runs against the ITA fleet on the allies’ next turn.

      Unfortunately, I think I may have drank too much already to competently take my turn.

      Looking at the board, however, I don’t see any super risky or great players Japan can make, but maybe some fresh eyes in the morning will help that.

      Otherwise, it looks like I retake phillipines, take malaya, and then prep to activate the mongolians on japan’s next turn.

      Shit! The plan was to also take Southern France as Italy, I had the units to do it, I just forgot in my hurry to get the action posted!

      As you can see from my post earlier, taking Gibraltar hinged on also using the Germans to kill the fleet in SZ 91, which required taking Southern France.

      I can understand that you wouldn’t want me to go back now, but this was the original intention, and part of the move I just did, I just forgot one of the attack moves :(((

      Would you mind if I did Northern Italy -> Southern France as well, sir?
