      kcdzim is correct.
      It used to be possible, but frankly that was stupid.
      It’s best to ignore double-convoying regardless of what rule set you’re using.

      My biggest navy is my IJN  I have 65ish aircraft spanning from set 1-6 (13 Zeros set 1)
      The US Navy is my next largest

      I have been collecting them from the release.

      I had one game where France almost survived 2 full rounds. On G1, Germany didn’t commit quite enough plus had bad dice so they didn’t take France. UK did send the RAF there to help out Paris and those extra planes caused Italy to fail to take Paris. On G2, Germany threw what they had left, although they were kind of short on land units due to purchasing navy on G1 and the bulk of their stuff was on the Russian border. Even though they had quite a few planes to throw at France, the British and French planes mauled them in defense and both sides wiped each other out. So Italy ended up taking Paris on round 2.
      By the way, this game did end up as an Axis loss. The Euro Axis were pretty much pasted by UK and USSR with very little US help while Japan was pretty well handled by the bulk of US attentions.

      The USA is not allowed to take control of DNG until it is in the war, right?
      It would be great if the economic giant could be responsible for building the NB and AB on that island fortress.

      The Americans are never allowed to take Dutch territories unless they are taking them back from the Axis powers. Only UK and ANZAC can pick up Dutch territories while they’re still Dutch.

      Very unfortunate for sure.  Does make UK/Anzac Alliance reconsider who takes DNG with the potential it poses for the Allied Strategy.  Still, DNG is a full 3 turn move from any US IC even if the US controls it.

      OK. Let me spell this out simply. I have asked twice before to no avail.

      Can someone walk me through the steps to getting ABattlemap on my computer, and getting it ready to play a Global 1940 game by forum?

      And my guess is this might be somewhere already that I haven’t found. If that is true, please link me to the page with ABattlemap available for download.

      So, I want to play a Global 1940 Alpha+3.9 game by forum. Where do I find the ABattlemap to download? I have to download the base program first, then the Global 1940 “module,” then hope my comp doesn’t screw up, then play, correct?

      Thanks for helping a n00b play by forum (and yes if you help me at some point you can crush my feeble Barbarossa)

      the thing is, not everyone has their sea lion strategy down yet as some people still defend UK/try to maintain a naval instead of taking UK then abandoning it to race Moscow, before UK is liberated and USA becomes a threat to europe.

      When I play it is easy to crush UK then turn around drive the russians out of the balkans back to moscow before france/italy/germany is seriously threatened. Once Russia is done, the game is super over.

      There are two problems about sea lion.

      I don’t mind UK getting conquered. Just if UK gets liberated… it should recover faster. The complex being nerfed to 3 combined with the crappy income generated… is really rough. I find that you can pack UK men on USA boats and drop them off the next turn is better than UK buying their own naval… you actually get more boots on the ground per turn much quicker. Or you can use UK’s 3 production a turn to buy naval pieces for USA or if germany is buying lots of air perhaps UK will buy naval pieces to protect USA naval (so usa can focus on dropping big payloads instead of carriers) and place a few men in africa to ship around (assuming you still have the transport down there).

      So with both allied and axis strategies not being fully developed by a majority of the community… the game balance itself is skewed.

      Allies have always been harder to play as they require more planning in order to maximize the amount of men you drop per turn into europe or plan ahead and move pieces to wise places in the pacific.

      Also countering barborossa has a few school of thoughts. 1) archangel shuffle defense 2) france first 3) shutting down italy.

      I do feel that cutting the germans out of Norway/Sweden/Finland is good start for UK. no point trading men with germany before taking that out that production.

      Thanks everyone for the advice.

      Unfortunately my friends don’t come over enough, so I end up just testing out different strategies. Right now I am trying really hard as Germany to bomb the living heck out of Britain. And it’s working: at the end of G2, ALL British facilities on the island (except for airbase Scotland) were gone. The whole Royal Navy was gone as well (but so was the Kriegsmarine). I figure with the bombing and the subs I’m throwing at Britain it’s almost better to just bomb them. Because I think I could even when the US came into the war. Russia is going to die, and I think Germany is going to do really well.

      As for Italy, they’re in major trouble with Africa. On UKE1 I tried out taking Tobruk. I succeeded (albeit at the cost of not having my Med. AF available to pound the Italian Navy), which has thrown Italy on its heels. Also, I landed 1 loaded trans. from GB (with 2 inf.) and if it survived the U-boats G2, it would’ve grabbed Brazil.

      Japan is probably going to crush India/China, but since Russia is under so much pressure to retreat they’ll probably leave each other alone and not trigger the Mongol infantry.
