How is this a confirmation?
I’m now SURE this is a joke.

I’m now SURE this is a joke.
And if Garg says no, there’s surely NO loophole.
Actually, IIRC, there’s a helluva good reason: Mongolia. IIRC Mongolia doesn’t convert if USSR declares war.
Ummm…removing all of 1 countries’ 1 unit, is CHEAP.
Now you’re just looking for loopholes.
Well…Garg is good at that…
I remember once he found a reason to build a NAVAL BASE on the mailand (not adjacent to any seazone…)  :-o   :-D
1. Can I see that?
2. How. The. Fuck?
Yup, rifles are DEFINITELY better AA than flak.
If they’re making this game short/introductory, they’ll dump tac and mech and possibly arty or cruisers.
Getting to build at the end isn’t a bad idea for n00bs.
A. But “someone” who retreats MUST be the attacker.
The fighter does have somewhere to land–the territory it’s in. The territory doesn’t fall until the fighter does.
@Field:
But bear in mind destroyers rarely make it past turn 3 also.
+1. If DD’s make it too far, you aren’t using them right.
@Field:
OK…I just want to make sure that if I attack with 5 planes rolling 1 attack die they all attack separately (i.e. their hits cannot be added together).
First of all only 4 friendly planes & 4 enemy planes are allowed in one grid. Each planes rolls separately as its attacks count against the armor or vital hits. Its a bit different with torpedos that count directly against the hull points so there is no vital armor to worry about. If your opponent agrees you can roll torps all at once. However this could be a waste of dice that could be used to attack more than one ship if you get lots of 6’s.
Oops re: plane limit. I don’t have the game in front of me.
Thanks! I was just making sure that weak planes can’t destroy carriers if there are enough of them!
It could be like D-Day / Guadalcanal / Bulge, Where the economic side of the game gets TANKED.
You basically use the units on the board until you run out, and you either achieve victory… or don’t.
In 1941?!?! No economics?!?! Don’t see how Allies win. And it does say “will introduce you to the basic A&A mechanics.” I’d call economics a basic function.
This game will be the “for kids” option.
MEN will still be playing Global.
I agree. The only reason I’d play this, from what I know, is time. But I might buy it as it’s only $30 and it gets new units and sometimes I don’t have much time!
@Vance:
ANZAC because you can sit down there and wait while the other powers wipe each other out, while you steadily build 4 units per turn and then when you are ready to come out you can take over all of Asia. ANZAC is a fortress.
 How does ANZAC build 4 units per turn with a Minor IC???
Get lucky and get Improved Factories?

All hes trying to do is keep the forum clear of repeat threads
