Thanks for the advice! Yeah, I really messed up on those British and French bids.

Thanks for the advice regarding the other bid purchases.

      Hi!

This is the same game as the last one:

      yamato-v-mike-g40-low-luck-usuk-5.tsvg

Due to a… miscalculation and the underestimation of the use of carriers as cannon fodder, the IJN lost huge.

Is there any way I can rebound? Thank you!

By the way, what are your thoughts on using carriers as cannon fodder?

I always thought that was stupid given their high cost, but the battle has made me rethink that. What is your opinion? Thank you!

As the Axis I beat the Allies, controlled by the hard AI.

The Allies had a 30 IPC bid, 10 IPCs per power.

To be honest, this game along with this game

      https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/39997/crazy-game-i-played-on-triplea

really underscores just how inept the AI, even the best one, is when it can’t beat me even with a 30 IPC bid (and I’m not particularly good either).

Actually, probably not. The Mongolia rule’s status still hasn’t been clarified, so the game is unplayable.

If I’m being honest, while I really like alliance/side switches, this definitely isn’t my favourite.

So I guess that’s it. Bye!

Maby if the allies are winning they could make your stay at the game verry annoying.
Once japan lost its fleet and has the US parked around its mainland its as good as dead.

So maby the allied player could first capture all the islands japan has with a single transport. Your turn will consist of skipping because no money and nothing to move. Allied player will have all countries to play with guess you will get bored from the game.

      No.

As the Attacker you may only take casualties from the active Power. As a defender, with multinational forces, all defending units fight and can be taken as casualties.

From the 1914 Rulebook (page 17)
      Phase 3: Conduct Combat
Combat occurs when your units share the same space with units belonging to one or more opposing powers and you decide to commit your units to an attack. Only enemy units may be attacked. When attacking, all units in the space belonging to your power must attack. You are required to attack only in territories that have become contested this turn due to your movement of units into them. Attacks in territories that were already contested at the beginning of the turn and in sea zones are always optional, even if you have moved units into them this turn.

Only one power can attack while in a sea zone or contested territory, but all enemy forces that may be present in such a territory must defend together (see “Multinational Forces”, page 22). Players must always defend with all units in the space if attacked.
