      I’ve been researching France in World War 2 recently, and I stumbled upon this article on JSTOR:

      https://www.jstor.org/stable/286380?casa_token=HrDISj647xoAAAAA%3A4r0lrbG6dLMbOFV1mHpvWIxLmi5kgJmFmZ_TYY5Ct12HpfBVa87FyqGvcP00vs2G1JuM3ol2qcQ

      Unfortunately, my regular free JSTOR account cannot access this.

      Please let me know if you have access to this article in any way. Thank you!

      @SuperbattleshipYamato well it was alot different back when we allowed Politics to flourish. Mary and Jennifer used to get into great battles, then we had Sexual Harassment Panda, Mr. Smith, et al who posted like 30 times a day. I recall about 3 others who were nasty but eventually drifted off under a rock.

      I think a good idea for 1914 would be to require at least 1 infantry to be stationed in every territory by the end of a power’s turn (the infantry must be from the power controlling. If they don’t, they won’t get the IPCs from this territory. Not only does it potentially make the game more historically accurate (to symbolize the need to keep civilian populations under control during wartime), but it probably also makes the game more balanced, as the Allies will probably be more burdened with this (since they have substantially larger colonial possessions).

      @Imperious-Leader
      I see no mention on page 23 of sea zone numbers. Only this:

      “You can place sea units only in sea zones adjacent to territories containing eligible industrial complexes. New sea units can enter play even in a hostile sea zone. No combat occurs because the Conduct Combat phase is over.”

      If you look at page 8, you WILL see this:

      “Note: The Caspian Sea (surrounded by Caucasus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Eastern Persia, Persia, and Northwest Persia) is considered to be a sea zone, even though it does not have a number.”

      I suggest you recheck the rules. You might be looking at the wrong book.

      Howdy, you get what you put into it, the figure cards reminds me of the minis, in the old Buck Rogers in the 25th. Century Game.
      You can always House Rule the game, to one’s delight. I plan to RoundRobin it, in the near future(another post, another day).
      I already gotten some minis from my old die casts Triacs and Vrocs sets.
      Adding to the game fighter bombers, hover copters, VTOL Fighters that operate from the Cruisers, Recon. Jeeps, and, a “Sour Grapes” land missile carrier.
      You can order the Bucket of Modern Air and Sea Forces, where you can pick up some nice nuke attack submarines.
      Also APCs and Hover tanks, from Fortress America and transports from A&Allies Games.
      Supplements of Forces will add more spice to your gaming, it work wonders for the old Buck Rodgers game.
      My RoundRobin will only use the original units of eight, that came with the game.
      After all Zvezda used the Command and Colors system quite nicely for some of their games.
      G.I. Joe powered by Axis and Allies rules will go quite nicely, give it time.
      Who knows what the future brings, Lord of the Rings Battle of the Five Armies powered by Axis and Allies would be interesting, thanks, Pellulo

      @SuperbattleshipYamato hard to argue against any of this really. The IJN was so far gone by this point in the war that there’s not really much they could have done to salvage their situation one way or another. The bit about the allies not having many LSTs in general is something I never knew before though.

      I took a spin of @VictoryFirst 's new World War 1 1914 module that integrated The Good Captain’s balance rules. I played both sides. The game transpired to be quite evenly balanced, and I’d like to continue the game with a human player. You would need to download VictoryFirst’s new module to play it (simply download the zip file, moving into the DownloadedMaps folder, then upzip it, though you might need to restart TripleA): https://www.mediafire.com/file/6iqf74g0s1zyktp/world_war_i_1914_balanced.zip/file

      @SuperbattleshipYamato Yeah I get you 100%. Alternate History is a niche interest in the first place so finding other people willing to go down the rabbit hole is always tough.

      @VictoryFirst

      Yep, I only noticed the mistake at the beginning of turn 10 and was internally burning myself for not considering such as simple mistake (The Good Captain sure didn’t cover this elementary blunder in his videos), but I decided to just pretend as if I still had a chance of winning, and I knew the fighter wouldn’t have secured St. Lo.

      Great game, you were a great opponent and certainly had me on edge in the midgame.
