      So no creative ideas? It’s impossible? :( Oh well.

    • RE: Global 1940 & 1943 Expansions Game Reports

      @the-captain

      Not again! The Axis lost! If I remember correctly, you played as the Allies in an earlier game and won. It makes me think that nobody can beat you considering you made the rules. Those polished Nazi markers look really cool. Maybe you can send me one? Thank you!

      It really boggles the mind on the sheer amount of naval, land, and air forces in play compared to the normal games as usual when playing with your rules.

      There are two things I’m confused about. Firstly, how could the starting French navy move to sea zone 98 in one turn when they can only move two sea zones? Also, how could the French have income if Germany still controls Paris? Thank you!

      Whilst I think the end map is really cool, especially in the directions the units are facing and the lighting, I always preferred pieces to chips, so I slightly don’t like the parts on the board that use chips, but it’s a minor issue.

      I really liked this game report! Can you go more in depth please? Thank you!

      @surfer

      Thanks for the advice! Yeah, I really messed up on those British and French bids.

      Thanks for the advice regarding the other bid purchases.

      @abworsham4

      So sad. Yeah, it could be the Ranger. It could’ve also been one of the Random Interchangeable Escort Carriers (hope you appreciated my joke, sorry, but I can’t/don’t memorise the escort carrier names, only the bigger ships).

      At least Japan did better than Germany. That never happens.

      Very nice! I’m afraid I won’t be available to go though. Hopefully they’ll be one over the summer or next year.

      Well, the Axis do win every single time. I play against myself.

    • RE: Bonus Movement is Unrealistic Nonsense

      @poptech

      It’s realistic through. Naval bases are especially well built ports.

      Planes can fly further from air bases because the airfields are especially well stocked with fuel.

      Ships can fly further from naval bases because the ports are especially well stocked with fuel.

      Don’t forget that each turn is six months. Of course you can sail to Hawaii from Japan in six months. More surprising is why you can’t sail from San Francisco to China in six months when it can be done in weeks or three months at most.

      @superbattleshipyamato

      One book I did read said that whilst the ME 262 and the V2 pointed to the future of war, they were of little use in their first versions.

      They came too soon, and it shows with all the shortcomings for boht of those technologies.

      Germany could not afford to invest in radical new ideas for warfare which may not see the light of day when their economy was already strained fighting a two front war, where most of the fighting was done on the Eastern Front, where none of the new weapons were ever deployed.

      Only the US could afford to make such giant leaps during wartime, culmination in nuclear weapons.

      @poptech

      Again, it’s over six months.

      For aircraft, it may look like flying to Novorosibrisk, but in real life they would’ve stopped in multiple territories first.

      @abworsham4

      Anzio isn’t my area of expertise. That being said considering the sheer hell it was it could’ve easily been a disaster. Not sure if a few more big guns would’ve sufficed though.

    • RE: Bonus Movement is Unrealistic Nonsense

      @poptech

      Yes, they only partially fill up the ship or airfield, because there isn’t enough fuel. Remember Yamato.

      As for fuel tankers just imagine it’s applied inconsistently, like it applies for the magical move to Hawaii but not for other things.

      Again, these are Naval bases, not shipyards. The shipyards are part of industrial complexes.
