      @balungaloaf:

      the “right to kill” side of the spectrum went haywire and were only satisfied when her last breath was taken.  then they retreated to await the opportunity to rejoice at more indefensible unborns, elderly, or medically incompacitated people being killed for the sake of convenience.

      Don’t forget their rejoicing at each death of an American soldier!  To them it’s just one less Republican in their way to Socialist Paradise!

      Don’t forget the Christians rejoicing the murder of every Muslim child across the globe.
      Don’t forget Schiavo could’ve played an excellent part in a Colgate toothe paste commercial.
      Don’t forget the Nazis er…. I mean Republicans want to make a corporate monarchy out of capitalism and send the children of the poor into a war they created… to them it’s just one less Democrat, Independent, Green,… let’s just say, Non-Nazzzzz.z…zz…zerrrrrrrRRepublican on their way to a Starbucks-Gas sucking-Jesus-MacDonalds (<

      @Cmdr:

      If you honestly believe he NEVER CONSIDERED it you are a fool.  Of course he CONSIDERED it.  Hell, if Obama offered me the VP spot I’D CONSIDER IT.  Doesn’t mean I’ll take it.  But you ALWAYS consider an offer.  If you do not, then you cannot accept nor can you decline it.

      Oh… okay, so since he was ASKED by Kerry, that makes McCain a sabauteur of the Republican Party?

      According to you anybody would consider it… so if Kerry had asked ANY Republican, they are going to consider it… otherwise they are a fool, right Jen??

      Here’s a better one… if all it takes to give somebody of another party a black eye is to offer them a VP spot: All Hillary should do is offer Mitt Romney a VP position and automatically he sabotauged his party for considering it… you know, since everyone automatically CONSIDERS IT.  :roll:

      @stuka:

      @Cmdr:

      Senator John McCain was asked to be Senator John F. Kerry’s Vice Presidential Candidate in 2004.  What was REALLY surprising, is that he considered it as a serious offer.

      Actually, that is not true. Yes, McCain was offered the VP spot and yes, it WAS a serious offer. But no, he never openly stated he was going to accept. In fact, the only thing at the time he did say was, “Senator Kerry and I are friends but I have no intention of being his running mate. I wish to be the President, not the Vice President.” It was all over the news during the 2004 elections. Nowhere did he say he was going to consider running with Kerry.

      How can you say that is not true, and turn around and say it was true?

      I just said that Senator McCain was asked to be Senator Kerry’s vice president.  And that he considered it a SERIOUS offer.

      You just said that it was actually offered to him and that it WAS a serious offer.

      :roll: OMG

      Kerry “SERIOUSLY OFFERED”
      McCain “NEVER CONSIDERED”

      Get it?

      Now to the second part of your statement:

      That would mean he felt so strongly against Conservatives and Republicans that he was willing to consider switching parties to the Democrats and joining the Liberals.

      Let’s say he would have accepted the offer. Are you saying why he (or anybody) would do so? To screw over the party he is affiliated with? If you do, it reflects how narrow minded a conservative like yourself can be. If he would’ve accepted the offer, it may have closed the gap between left and right (if only a little)…. but no faith, huh? If a Republican would ask a Democrat to join him as a V.P. to form a bipartisan role in the executive branch, I would find that to be reaching across to one party… not sabotaging another.

      It’s sad to see how determinental some can be about a group or a belief. I myself am guilty of it. Yet, by reading many views of others, I am nowhere near alone.

      @Guerrilla:

      Stuka would you rather Die standing or Live on your knees? Yes that is an extreme and probably not what we are dealing with, but it is a point of ideals…

      GG

      True… and if it were that cut and dry, my answer would be what everyone else’s would be.

      I still would rather vote for Kinky Friedman… Yet, I am pulling for McCain. In other words, I will do what is necessary and adjust.

      It’s way easier to adjust to the world than have the world adjust to you. Having said that though makes me want to do the opposite. And I will do the opposite in my personal life… as will you and everyone else here on this board.
      Basically, we all have our own personal values that we guard so selfishly and with our constant bickerings and worldly ambitions, those values lose their potency. Sorry if that’s vague… but I don’t know how else to explain it, GG.

      @Jermofoot:

      Eh, a skewed test.  I ended up picking the most savory of painful choices on many of them.  American beer is not even beer.  I walk, bike, and drive an old car (a chevy pickup, no less).  I would have picked cheddar over all those cheeses (and again, American cheese is not cheese).

      No sh!t!! My thoughts exactly…. where’s the option for a motorcycle… that’s all I have. No car… no truck…

      @Cmdr:

      @Jermofoot:

      “Black KKK”….does not compute.  :?

      Jeremiah Wright = Strom Thurmond

      Jeremiah Wright leads his organization
      Strom Thurmond lead the KKK (his organization.)

      Both the KKK and Jeremiah’s klan believe the government is out to get them and that another race is responsible for all their troubles.

      Thus, Barrack Obama is a card carrying member of the black version of the KKK lead by Jeremiah Wright.  His statements that his Grandmother is a racist and that all women are just like his grandmother (aka also racists) really sheds some light on what he thinks about whites.

      As President, do you think he’d be unbiased in deciding what laws to sign?  Honestly.  If he had a choice to sign legislation sent to him to do harm to whites in some way, whether writing checks to blacks or forcing whites to sit in the back of the bus, or any other legislation that Congress sends him that may be anti-White, can you honestly tell yourself his racism WONT be a factor in his choice?

      At least Hillary isn’t racist against white, black, latino or red as far as I know.

      Jen, you are borderline conspiracy theorist. Actually, I wish he was as racist as you say…. white people could use a little pushing around from time to time…

      Truth be told…

      With a choice of Barrack, Hillary, and John…

      I am voting LIBERTARIAN this year, no matter who they put forward as their candidate.

      I am DONE voting for the “Evil of two Lessers”  Neither Republican nor Democrat gets my vote unless and until they put forward a candidate that is strong national defense (including border security), strong personal liberty, and anti-big government.  None of the 3 current options meet ANY of those, let alone all 3.

      You are just like my ol’ man, Switch. So stop it… you’re scaring me.

      Hey…. good topic.

      I think mine would be something in the ballpark of: “Well, that was fun.” -or- “Did I tell her, I loved her?” -or- “I hope they allow smoking where I’m going.”

      Probably one of those three… but who knows what will pop into my head at the time of death… could be a bullet for all I know. LOL

      @Cmdr:

      Really?  I got the over all impression that the only friends I had when I was supporting Obama were dyed in the wool Liberals who, really didn’t think of me as a friend, but were not going to lambaste me while they thought I’d actually switch sides and vote for him.

      Actually, I got the impression the Liberals everywhere were hoping that after storming the polls and forcing John McCain on Republicans we’d either be so turned off on our party to not vote or to switch to their sides.  Guess they didn’t expect us to do it BEFORE they had coronated a winner!

      Now I am SERIOUSLY considering Hillary Clinton.  At least the only idiotic thing she’s supported in the past was Universal Health Care (which even McCain supports) and NAFTA (which she now says was a bad move.)  She at least concedes that the War on Terror and the War in Iraq have to be fought, and even went so far as to vote for them as a Senator.

      Jen, sounds to me that you are trying to make everyone think that you’re “actually switching sides and voting for” Hillary…

      Just say you’re voting for McCain, a Republican, and end the “forum suspense” on “who Jen votes for”… really now, nobody cares.

      With the more that comes to light on every candidate that is on the ballot, the more I woundn’t mind voting blindfolded….

      I wish Kinky Friedman were running. Now there’s someone worth voting for.

      @Cmdr:

      But keep in mind that you are not actually learning what was said and why it was said, you are attempting to change what was said and why it was said to fit into your own view of how you want the world to be.

      You definitely fell into this trap yourself with the current administration for the last eight years.

      Come to think of it…. this phase could be plugged in for almost anything politically based.

      and this quiz, i dont like it.  i didnt score a 100%.  i’m ashamed.  but its biased.

      I agree Bung… I even would burn American flags if it kept me warm at night and I still should get 100%.@Cmdr:

      Three Reasons we did not invade Russia after WWII:

      1)  We already invaded once in Archangelsk and got our (well, YOUR because I am Russian first, American second) butts handed to you royally by the peasants with pitchforks.

      2)  Patton was dead.

      3)  You were redeploying everything you could to the Pacific after Germany surrendered, and getting them back into position after Japan surrendered was too much effort.

      Wrong, Jen…. Patton was still alive at the end of WW2.

      Wrong, Jen… we didn’t invade Russia because they don’t have anything of any value in Russia.

      Wrong, Jen… we did not redeploy everything after Germany’s surrender… in fact, we STILL haven’t.
