Actually, you are right (besides saying the wrong word). The low frequency of a cell phone or pager doesn’t interfere with the communications or the instrumentation of the aircraft.

But I still don’t want the ban lifted. I already have to put up with the screaming brats, the smelly old people and the fear of screaming during a 30,000 foot drop. Now they want me to deal with “flappin lips joe.” I would go along with it if they would sectioned off seating for those who wish to fly in somewhat peace and quiet.

A new issue has risen among us. Cell phones on planes.

I for one don’t think lifting this ban is necessary. But some people just HAVE TO YAK!

Yes, actually they are researching the use of botox for women with breast cancer. I forget what is the actual benefit. Perhaps someone can fill me in.

i disagree. if you make it legal in say, New York, than new jersey people will cross the border, load up on drugs, and either A)do them there, than return (bad) or B)bring them back into NJ (also bad)

Yes, that would be a potential problem. I will admit this would have to be a national decision.

ciggarrettes are only legal because you would have 50 million very pissed off and nicotine-deprived peopel on your hands if they were made illegal, and becuase too many people cant justify denying someone else the right to ruin themselves. i think cigarrettes should be illegal, so i dont think legalizing pot is a good idea based on that. plus, its not very helpful to say “since one bad thing is legal, another should be too”

Well if that’s the case, Janus, don’t you think that alcohol gives the same right for people to ruin themselves as well? If so, wouldn’t it be reasonable to believe that you think alcohol should be illegal as well?

Weed is no more harmful than alchohol. How many driving incidents can you relate to marijuana as compared to booze?

I served my country already. I owe nothing. Now I can feel more comfortable about letting my voice be heard. Dying for your country is the most honorable thing you say? I say serving your country is the most honorable thing. If you died for your country, you got ripped off. Just don’t blame your country for it when you are in heaven, hell or where ever you believe you will be.

If the German player is a first timer/rookie, I would say go for it. But if you negate the U.S. help in the Europe conflict you may have alot more than just Japan’s navy to worry about.

All things considered, it’s safer to walk along the streets of Baghdad then it is in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. or Detroit.

I think I would rather risk strolling through those neighborhoods than in Baghdad. Statistics wise, you’re right. However, being an American walking around alone in Baghdad presents a much larger target on your chest.
