      @ScarleFox:

      lol And we have now been married for 12 years and kickin’ and barley have had sex since the I do’s…hehe :wink:

      Well, I know it wouldn’t be roses for the entirety of a marraige. That’s a la la land pipe dream. I think 12 years from now I won’t mind the frequency of sex to go down. I’ll be 42-43 y/o by then so my sex drive will more than likely begin its inevidable decline. :wink:

    • RE: This pledge of allegiance thing…

      PEOPLE!! The biggest point that should be pointed out is that even if this is a case that needs to be addressed, it doesn’t need to be RIGHT NOW!! We have a war going on. We have the worst natural disaster in American history going on. We have an unbalanced economy right now with increased prices and less jobs going on. We have a need for a larger or even new energy source.

      All of these are WAY MORE IMPORTANT than a couple of words which only a very minor part of the nation gives a damn about not wanting to say. This carries no physical or psychological impact in our day to day lives. Do you think when I was in third grade, I gave a sh!t about the “under god” part of the allegiance? I was just waiting for recess!!! I was thinking about that fun game “boys chase girls!!”

      Our nation is in a time where only the most important problems should be taken care of. AND THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!! Our governments bank account is very real. This account you feed with your taxes. Everytime there is a large case, a disaster, a war, a crisis, a disease…. that account gets drained a little more. And who takes up the slack? WE DO. I don’t want to take up the slack for a couple of words. If you have a problem with “under god”, JUST SUCK IT UP FOR NOW.

    • This pledge of allegiance thing…

      I find it stupid. If you believe in God or not. Children are not forced to say the pledge. This athiest is just whining about something that has very little, if any, impact on a person’s (religious or not) day to day lifestyle. It pisses me off that my tax dollars are being wasted on something so minor when our courts have much more pressing matters to attend to. Is it so hard to tell your child that he or she does not have to say “under god”? Big whoop! Get off your “what about me”, “poor me”, “I have a right to be recognized by removing a few mere words out of a phrase”…… People can be so anal sometimes. :x

      @Jennifer:

      And as for your virginity/marriage, if that’s what you want then who am I to critiscize you for it? It was consensual, I assume, so you didn’t break any of the laws of man.

      That’s one of the best things I have ever heard come out of your mouth.

      @Jennifer:

      Oh. See I didn’t understand that you had assumed (correctly as it turns out) that I’d fall back on religion to justify my actions.

      That’s fine for you. But if I “saved” myself for the one I would marry, I would be a 30 year old virgin right now. Thanx but no thanx. Those who wish to do this, more power to them.

      Yet, like you said in another thread, we are only human so it is within our nature to sin. So I forgive myself for having sex before marraige. :wink: I will try to do better next time.

      @Mary:

      @Candyman67:

      His early material was excellent. Sean Penn was great in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Bad Boys, and At Close Range, but other than that, crap.

      Dead Man Walking, The Translator, The Assassination of Richard Nixon and The Thin Red Line.

      Thin Red Line was crap, Mary. But you’re right about the rest.

      Don’t rip Sean Penn. He’s a good actor and does MANY fundraisers for victims of war, famine, starvation and much more. Who cares where his views lie.

      Actually, it’s alot more common than you think, Jen. But that’s just the way it happens to be. One of my cousins actually did that. I told him he was an idiot for it but he redeemed himself by making his marraige work and came closer to his wife.

      @cystic:

      some interesting points SP.

      I nearly got engaged to a couple of women. The one i’m with right now has been too short to be seriously considering getting engaged. Having said that, i have to admit that if i did not think it possible/likely to happen, i wouldn’t be with her. Still, i am afraid of rushing things because i too am getting older.

      Well, I have this usual internal clock on it. If she can hit the 9 month mark (why 9, I am not sure), she is definitely marraige material.

      ……not to mention the sex must be good. Yet, if I been with her for 9 months, it damn well better be good.

    • RE: Can it get any Worse for Bush?

      I understand you Falk but she does have a right to be here. I just stopped reading the majority of her posts. Every now and then, I’ll see what she has to say and hope it is something to learn. Nothing so far. The only reason that I’ll halfass defend her is the fact that she is surprisingly resiliant (sp?) to our constant insults and keeps coming back for more. So, the hell with it. Let her stay and blow out her hot air rhetoric. It’s not like it is going to change my way of life. :wink:

      Yeah, I read that a few days ago. I don’t really care about his past to be honest. It’s what is happening now that concerns me.

    • The wedding dealie.

      Okay It is time to talk about a fun subject that will get us all closer together and throw off our political views and relieve some arguing for a little bit.

      I want you to tell me about your views on how long two people should wait before they decide to wed lock. I have known friends who have gotten married within 3 months of knowing eachother. To me, it seems insane to jump into a life term commitment that quick but for some, it seems to work out. What do you think compells people to take such a large step after knowing eachother for such little time?? Age could be a key factor, yes? I am 30 and I never even been engaged. My longest relationship lasted for 3 1/2 years. My current girlfriend and I joke about our possibilities but we only known one another for 3 months. Because we are older, do we feel rushed? Hard to say, when so many other feelings are involved. But hell, that’s love, huh?

      I remember after highschool, several of my classmates got married and started families within a year of graduating. That’s f*ckin’ nuts, man. One guy I know has been married 3 times and he’s a year younger than me. Crazy, man….
